Tranny Main Seal ????'s

Is the main seal on an SR the same as in a KA trasmission?? if not is there any other seal from another car i could use??

if you mean the seal at the end of the tranny, where the driveshaft slides in, yes they are the same.

Yep, they are I, just changed mine yesterday. I think the seal is about $12 from nissan.

Yes the seal where the tranny meets the drive shaft.(is that the main seal?) Was it very difficult to change? i hope not. i havnt had a chance to get under the car and look.

It is very easy to replace.

-Remove the 4 bolts where the driveshaft meets the differential
-Slide the driveshaft out of the transmission
-Pull the old seal using a seal puller or suitable tool
-Tap the new seal in (I believe you should lubricate the inside of the seal w/ silicone lube, not sure about that one)
-Install driveshaft in reverse order.
