well i installed autometer oil presure gauge today. the hose got a hole in it while driving. luckily i was near a napa and fixed it but now i got this horrible valve tap. what does this mean will i need new valves and shit or will it go away on its own once the oil circulates thanx

yea...it should be ok after the lifters fill up with oil.
i had a similar prob but i caught it in time. i as changing my oil and i bumped the like and cracked it i guess...oil was spewing out...i didnt know till i back up and freaked the hell out after i saw the oil puddle. yea u got lucky. i could have totally seized if u didnt catch it in time...that would suk ballz especially since u jus rebuilt it.

Did you add oil after, lifters are the first thing to make noise when the engine is low on oil...

were you using the stock plastic hose that they give you, or did you run a better line?
