![]() basically i'm wondering if i start getting rid of emissions stuff will it affect my fuel economy. and what vaccum lines do I need and what can I get rid of?

Dude I hate to break it to ya but the SOHC just kinda sucks on the gas use somthing like a max of 220 miles a tank. The bennifits of removing the emissions stuff are very minimal. The DOHC gets much better milage. If u tune the piss out of it and keep all your plugs, filters and fluids fresh youll get optimal miles out of ur ride. Oh yeah putting the pedal down dosent help either

SOHCs aren't great for mileage-- I could only peak 27 highway in mine, though it was down around 20 city. Emissions equipment won't effect anything significantly (1-2mpg, unless you really mess something up).

some of that emissions stuff will help the car run smoother, and actually help performance. (whoa!)
