ok i now know i gotta switch gauge clusters, but what about the harness under dash goin to it? when i went and got the harness all i got was the part that goes from the ecu to the motor. is that all i need or do i gotta get the one thas under the dash too? cause if the sohc harness hooks right up to the dohc cluster i should be alright. right? i hope so cause i think they crushed the dohc car. thanx hope someone can help

the dohc cluster plugs into the sohc body harness. make sure you use the tach from the sohc cluster cause the tach wont work on the dohc one.

you just need the dohc tach, the rest of the cluster is the same.

First reply was wrong

You can do one of two things.
1. put dohc Tach into your gauge cluseter (SOHC)
2. replace gauge cluster with the one from the DOHC model, and yes it plugs right in.

i used the dohc gauge cluster on the sohc body harness and it worked so my reply wasnt wrong.

i never said i used the dohc tach in mine. i said i used the dohc gauge cluster with the sohc tach.

I used the whole twincam cluster, because I was changing from HUD to analog at the same time.

... and before ANY of you motherfuckers asks why, it was because I bought the car as a shell sans engine and the windshield was cracked, the cluster was an even exchange, I will sell the HUD shit and the windshield will be cheaper

I feel ya on the HUD thing the digital part of my dash was fried when i got the car so I changed to the analog cluster as well

My problem was not with the OPERATION of the HUD, my problem was with the fact that I was switching frome SOHC to Twincam, AND swapping auto to 5-speed AND the windshield happened to be cracked... The cluster available to me for my 5-speed/twincam swap was FREE and the windshield for analog would be a LOT less expensive, I jumped on it, ya know?

I see your thing I did auto to manual and sohc to SR so i needed the tach also hence the reason i did not try to fix the hud system
