ok i have read up on this numerous times and even read the swap in the tech section, but for some reason the tech sec doesnt work now, anyway i have the harness from the motor to the ecu, and the dohc ecu thas it, now when i read the install it didnt say anything bout the interior harness, so i didnt get one, well i go to install the harness and ecu today and the set of wires that comes off the blue cluster that plus into ecu ( brown clip) doesnt fit into the white clip that is attached to the rail goin accrosss the front of the car, should i just get the whole interior harness or cut and splice, i was just goin to do this but the wires are all different soo can some one please help me out thanx

you don't need the interior harness, but u need DOHC tach.

then what do i do bout the harness not workin they dont clip together like they are suposed to

I believe you are reffering to the plug that is for the gauge cluster. They should be the same dude.

no, they should not be the same.

its the only wiring needed for the swap, as is always mentioned when this subject comes up.

just vut both harnesses in half (the small ones, both SOHC and DOHC) take the sohc chassis half and the dohc ecu half and match up the wires(color to color.) only like 7 match, thats all you need.

and youre done.

nice thank u thas what i wanted to know, i counted 15 wires on one and 16 on the other and only a few matched colors, thanx

according to black s13 and personal experience with working with the guy doing my own, it IS obvious, unless you encounter some other arbitrary problems, as we have
