Sup guys...me and my buddy are thinking of installing an LCD screen hooked up to a computer. Now we aren't sure exactly where to put the LCD screen since I want to retain the headunit. Got any ideas? Also how do you remove the head unit? It took us a hour and we still couldn't figure it out...we where really careful thought cause we didnt' want ot break any plastic.

Also do you think its possible to hook up the comptuer audio OUT to the CD changer input on the headunit? I don't have a CD changer so I was hoping i can use that as a input source.

anyone ever done this before? if so, where did they mount hte lcd and how?

Hey maddindian..I just installed my entire system today on my S14 so I can help you out. First of all you have to take the plastic molding off from around the shifter..It pops right up with clips..You will see 2 screws..one on the left and on the right..Remove the ash tray and there is a screw behind it..Then where the Rear Defogger and the hazard light switch is you will see too dummy switches on the left and the right.Just carefully pull them out and you will see a screw behind each one of them. Infact the whole Vent assembly around the environmental control pull right out..That should just about do it..If didn't explain something clear enough send me a message.

Thanks for the info man. How easy is it to remove the plastic around the shifter?? It seems damn hard.

Also has anyone installed an LCD screen in the S14?? Any tips on where to install it? I also want to retain the stock headunit.

Thanks again.

The plastic around my shifter was also pretty snug and I didn't know how to remove it so I unfortunately broke two of the clips If you can get a small flatheat screwdriver underneath it, just try to loosen it up around the edge until you get under it then it should just pull right up...DONT PULL TO AN ANGLE that's how mine broke..but luckily I live 5 minutes from a NIssan Dealership so I will buy a new one Monday. The LCD screen I have never done so I can't help you there but good luck.
