SR SAFC tune with new ARP head studs?

I just got my redtop reintalled in my S14 with ARP head studs and various other gaskets including head gasket. It was recommended to me to put around 1500 miles on the head studs keeping it under 5000 rpms and then retorque the head studs, change the oil etc. Does this sound normal?

Also, I have an SAFC II ready to go in the car, but to tune I would like to tune through the whole RPM band. Should I wait til after the retorque to tune or just tune the part I was recommended to drive in? Thanks for any input!

if its on stock injectors you can just put the SAFCII in and set it up and then just make sure everything is zero'd out...technically you could prolly take about 5% off with stock boost...assuming you have an SR20...

Maybe on low throttle settings but on high throttle settings you should be adding fuel down low. SR's run waaaaay too lean down low.

SR

So assuming it's running lean low in the rpms, should I try to give it an initial conservative tune up to 5000?

Also, my SR20 tends to run rich (at least it smells like it), so should I adjust for that?
