well before i got my new cat i bought a muffler. i wanted to get a catback but the stock pipe on our s13's are already 2.25 inches in diameter. and since that im not going turbo for a long time i decided that a bigger pipe will be useless for now. and yesterday i got a new catalytic converter installed and now my car sounds way better than before. it used to have a "dry throat sound" and it sounded really ugly. as it turned out the cat had busted brick in it that clogs it up instead of just a broken gasket unlike my mechanics keeps on telling me.
and oh yeah the muffler i got is fireball style muffler made by focuz. the name sounds ricey but not the muffler. i like the sound of it even tho the car lost some low end torque.
but my question is this. my resonator has a bump at the bottom of it and it leaves an ugly sound when dropping the rpm around 3 to 3500 rpm. it makes spooling turbo sound but still a little "dry throat". the question is how do i get rid of that. i cant just get rid of it and then reconnect the pipes with a new pipe because i dont want my car to too loud.
and what mods should i do next for under 400 dollars. pulleys maybe?
