You are wrong there my friend.... Infiniti (Nissans Luxury class in U.S.) was going to have an SR20DET, but downgraded to the SR20DE for..well.. to make money...basically....
However, The SR20DE and SR20DET are very similar in strength with only a few differences related to strengthing and cooling for the turbo. The basic block and head are the exact same and are both very strong. This is why SR20DE's (which power FWD cars

respond very well to turbos.... My guess is that special little T we love really just means turbo since the engines are so similar.
I wonder if it's possible to put an SR20DE into an RPS13 and pass emissions...wow I would love that....
