I would just buy the stuff you're missing. Worse comes to worst, sell the tranny and buy a complete one.

don't really need all the sensors, just reverse lights if you car, speed sensor for speedometer, and nuetral position switch might be useful

Before you do the swap read every thing that you can find on doing it. There are several very good posts on doing the swap in archives. By the way I would try to find a switch for reverse lights from somone, new OEM from Nissan they are $45.00. http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...ighlight=trans This is a great thread.

No, Nissan dealerships don't sell Nissan parts.

Your pic needs a little help, but I think the first one is your reverse light switch. If you have a continuity tester check across the two wires both without pushing on the switch and depressing it. Without depressing switch= no continuity. Depress switch = continuity, then switch is good. That should work for all the switches. Only one you realy need is reverse lights, the others will fill the holes in your tranny nicely.

alright i finally got all my parts together.. here's what i have

i have:
Manual Transmission
Shifter
Release Bearing
M/T Mounting plate
Clutch pedal
Crossmember
Driveshaft (other half not in pic)
Brake pedal (From M/T car)
Clutch master cylinder
Clutch slave cylinder
Hydraulic Lines: i only have the rubber one attached to the clutch slave
Shift boot and plate
96 Manual ECU that i'm not going to use because I have a '97. I'm going to go with the Auto ECU until i get a 97/98 Manual ECU

already installed on my car-
Pressure plate
Clutch
Flywheel from a m/t

stuff i have for the missing parts on tranny-

clutch fork
clutch alignment tool
dust cover
release bearing
ordered a release sleeve and a retainer spring
some sensors in the other pictures but i dont know which they are.

here is what my tranny looks like..

is there anything else i'm missing besides a speed sensor and clutch hardline?

i've searched through a lot of manual swap guides but none really answer my question. i spent a lot of time on this post, so if you guys could help me, i'd really
appreciate it.

thanks

Did you switch out the pilot bearing before you installed the clutch and pressure plate? If not, yank 'em off and DO IT. And where the heck is the rest of your slave cylinder? The pushrod and such? Where and how much did you get s14 pedals for? And your s14 tranny.

And do you have both springs?

i got everything for 800 in one package

the clutch slave cylinder.. i bought a brand new one from overnightautoparts.com
that one in the picture just came with the package

both springs to what? if it is the tranny you're talking about, i ordered a retainer spring

i might be buying a 98 manual ecu soon, it'll just hook up to my harness i have right now right?

anything else i need?

thanks neme

Looks like you are on the right track. If I may make a suggestion, I would suggest that since you are there you might want to change out your rear main seal, also the front and rear seals on the tranny. Rear main is about $25.00 and the tranny seals are about $5.00 ea aftermarket. I got mine at NAPA.
I see that you have your auto trans out...I know that was fun. Good luck with your swap I just finished mine. Be patient getting the manual back up in there can be a bit of a bear...My s13 was a little tricky, it may be different for the s14

I just got my 5spd. done. I took it in on Nov. 23rd., recieved it Nov. 26th, all I had to do is supply them with a d/s. The whole thing cost me 600.00, thats (install+parts), the car runs like a dream! I was gonna gather all the parts myself and just pay for installation but a friend of mine told me just to let them do it b/c they know what parts are missing/broken/wearing out/etc. Now I'm happy to drive my car again, glad it is no longer automatic!
