running engine with rich fuel mixture for long time

I just found that the O2 sensor cable was cut and resulted in open circuit. In order to fix this I have disconnected the O2 sensor connector. How much damage will running rich on fuel mixture inflict on the engine?

You will mostlikely notice a performance decrease down low because of all the extra fuel.

It's won't hurt the engine other than fouling out plugs... and messing up Cats..

Fixing the coaxial wire of the O2 sensor will take some time because I never have done it. Hope nothing happens to my engine.

BTW Why is it that the engine feels more powerful? I did 0-60 reading a few weeks ago when I learned that I was getting bad milege. I came out 7.8 seconds.
