sr20 swap problems
ok i just finished dropping the sr into my 1992 240sx coupe and hooked everything up and wired it all accordingly to ht's wiring diagrams. the motor turned over fine but it wouldnt catch, itd catch a few times but just die out or buck and hiccup and die. i have spark and fuel and the injectors are firing i cant figure out what the problem would be, also the cam/crank angle sensor is all in one? could it possibly be the coolant temp sensor? i dont recall hooking a coolant temp sensor up (location)? all help is greatly appreciated

Water temp sens wont effect it starting. I would reset the cas first. It sounds like the cas is outa line. Then i would make sure that the tps is reading properly. The tps shouldnt effect start up but it can in some cases.
Also keep this is mind. There is a wire out of the ecu that is used to change the timing and fuel when the motor is at startup phase. Please make sure that wire is hooked up. Sorry i dont have more info on it. but it basically makes the injectors act like a cold start injector.

i checked that too but everything is real tight, i pulled the entire stock sidemount system off the front clip and just put it onto the car i checked it over and checked it over again but i dont see any areas where a leak could be

i figured it out guys, apparently what i believed was true the ecu i had gotten with the motor was chipped and wasnt tuned correctly for the stock setup (which is what the harness coming out of the ecu was probably for switching maps, or datalogging or something). i swapped ecus with a known stock redtop ecu and the car now runs like a champ!
