The lock cylinder on the driver side of my S13 has seized up. I got the door panel out and I can see it very clearly. The cylinder just isn't budging. Furthermore, my key won't go in all the way any more. It used to go in all the way and be able to turn, just not unlock. Now it won't even go in at all.

I sprayed the hell out of it with PB Blaster but still no luck.

Any tips for removing the cylinder? I'm going to get a new OEM one and swap it. Just looking for any helpful tips before jumping into it. Looks like I can just unbolt the whole door handle and slide the whole assembly out.

yea there are 2 bolts that hold in the whole handel. Those are easy, but the metal bars that go to the door opening mechanism and the locking mechanism are a bitch to get off of the handel. I would recomend taking the door off if you can. It was much easier for me when I got it off and I could manupliate the door with gravity. As for getting the cylinder out, I dont really know how to go about that. GL man.

Cylinder is held into the handle with a circular clip.

I also think I can do it without removing the door.
