i know i dont have an sr..but my ka did this for a while....and i noticed my ecu got fried....water would seep through the opening of where the lights and the hood will meet...so everytiime i used the HUD..it willl cause my car to bog and hesitate.....but although my 90 alos did this and i replaced the wires and plugs and it ran fine...but def check for parts where the water will seep through....
