today I checked out a s13 93 240 coupe the lady told me it was a 93 but it didn't have an head's up display just the basic analog read out of the speed, also there were no power windows, no power mirrors, no spoiler, and had hub's. The enigne looked like a dohc, but is it possible its not a 93, I was under the impression that the 91 to 93 had the hud. thanks in advance.

I've driven 2 1992 240s and they both had the analog speedos. One of them had power windows/mirrors, and the other one didn't. Also, I believe that the DOHC engine (91-93) says 16 Valve on it and the SOHC one (89-90) says 12 Valve on it.

my 89 has huda sohc has a taller black valve cover the dohc has a aluminuym silver valve cover and is smaller in height

thanks for your reply I just did some research and found out that only the se model had the Heads Up Display, this really sucks, monkey ballz, anyone wanna sell me their 240 dohc coupe se for 3.5k?

hud?  what is it, ive never heard the term related to any display in a 240.  i cant stop thinking about a heads-up-display in something like an f-16.

that's exactly what it is.  on the digital speedo S13s, it comes with an HUD repeater that shows the speed on the windshield.  basically just a worthless gimmick.  i have it, but i couldn't care less about it.

i plan on buying a dohc s13 in the new year and swapping parts over, and i tell you what, i would not buy one without hud.

i drive the a 240 coupe because it's rare, and the hud is even rarer. i think it is one of the key features in the car, it has a crazy cool factor.

Don't get me wrong...I love having it.  I'm just trying to dissuade people from going to all the trouble of installing one.  It's just not worth the time and money, IMHO.  But if they're dying to have two or three green digits on the windshield, fine.  I just think it's a waste of time.
