Newbie question - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Hey guys, I'm sure this has been brought up many times already, but maybe someone can help me. I just bought a 91' 240sx se with the digital speedo/HUD. Occasionally, it works. Last time it was on  I took a left turn and it went off after that. I took the meter apart to see if I could find some bad solder joints, but found nothing. It seems like the power doesn't get to it. I also tried the "shake wiring and smack dash and kick panel trick" to no avail. Is there anything else I can check?

Try seeing if a fuse is blown or maybe you have a short to one of your turn signal light bulbs. If you have a short, before you turning lights went out you would have seen you turning arrow blink light crazy. Then, you would know it was something with the outside turning lights.

What would the turn signal have to do with the speedo? I have a left front parking light that is out. The turn signals work good though.
