Thats right...just me 'n my hand tonight..."chick-power" songs everywhere are keeping douche-bags like me from getting some....or so they think!! What that girl at the bar didn't count on? I have a new (new to me anyways) set of wheels at home to please me!!

Haha, all kidding aside and a little rant about chick power songs that flood the radio these days, heres a little thread about a small week night project for a set of wheels for my beater S14! The wheels are Blitz Type 01's, 2-piece with 17x7 and 17x8...

I got these wheels from a friend who got something more ballin' for his SW20 build...as should be noted, these wheels have absolutely HORRIBLE offsets for a 240, so Im rocking HUGE spacers to compensate...just a disclaimer haha! Anyways, back to the friend who sold them to me (neech on here), he disassembled them in plans to restore them himself, but never got to it, so that saved me tons of time. Basically I repolished the lips, painted and cleared the centers, and reassembled! Ill describe the process on a pic-by-pic basis, here we go:

Almost forgot, just me n my hand lol...

How do you get your kicks??? Dahaha!

To bring out the bling, I used red scotch pads, then white scotch pads, then very very fine steel wool:

What happens when its just me n my hand tonight, take that pink!!

Where are my sunglasses???

Paint centers n clear em

Bolt em back together and admire!

Rad center caps!

Ridding myself of lame stockies shortly!

Rear wheels "masked" and just primed..the index card trick works great!

Tonight I finished painting and clearing the rears but still need to bolt them together....tomorrow they should be all done, then I just need tires! Thanks for looking and maybe this can help anyone thinking about doing a DIY wheel restoration, its the second set Ive done! Enjoy, and remember, if some girl tells you its just you and your hand tonight...it CAN work out
