I would recommend to replace them. Aftermarket inner tie rods are not that expensive and stronger than stock.

I agree. Stupidest fucking suggestion this week. Plus even *if* you bend it back it won't be perfect, thus throwing your alignment off. But hell, who wants to spend $40 on a new tie rod these days.

It would almost be better to buy a whole reman steering gear. If you bent the inner tie rod into an L-shape, it's very possible that it could have damaged the rack and pinion gear.

Read your own question and see if it sounds dumb.Considering the fact that the tie rod controls your steering yes you need to replace it. Bent suspension parts typically do not like to take up the same stock geometry after they get bent. Do yourself a favor and get a new inner tie rod set. Or not.. Darwinism at it's finest.

but guys dont people bend and shape metal, like swords and knives for example. Aren't those things strong??? i bet thats what went through his head. Yeah you can bend it back and it might hold up but the next time you hit a curb instead of just bending the tie rod its going to snap and your wheels gunna turn all over the place and you wouldnt be able to control that and you might hit something else again.
