I got myself an ebay special i/c kit, came with a buch of brackets and bolts and stuff. i used nothing they game me in its original form.

Hopefully your I/C has a tab on the top in the center of the ic. if so i would start by using some sort of plate or bracket to hang the ic from the bolt just below the hood latch mechanism. i slotted my bracket so that i could adjust the height of the ic behind the front fascia.
then from there i used some plates that came with the kit, bent them to my will and connected them to my lower rad support thru 2 holes that were already there. my ic had to M8 bosses tig'ed to the bottom of the IC.
thats the only 3 points i actually have mounted to the car. i used the ic piping to stabilize the rest but you really wont need much more.

i am trying to find some pics to post later.

Basically.
a FRONT MOUNT intercooler goes
in front of the radiator support, behind the rebar.
remove the rebar and install piping.
check for clearances with rebar on (if you want to keep it)
cut, make brackets, mount.
check for clearances with bumper.
cut.
done.

The real question is....
If you are unsure about installing an intercooler...
Should you be handling your friends SR swap?
