You may be right, but keep in mind that I do have a budget when it comes to my s14 (track toy).... Because, while I may have an LS, I also have a wife who complains about my s14 habit...Haha Which has lasted 10 years

price is average, Also to my understanding 40 hole reverse lips are the "standard" type of barrels. You are in columbus. You can get lips/barrels from wheel medic. They re-dids some ABC's for me. I priced lips/barrels from them and an acquaintance at forgeline and they both quoted me the same amount.

I used wheel medic. Cost is about 275 per wheel to cut the old 3 piece welded wheels, dissassemble, add a 5.5 inch lip, and then reassemble

Stoked to finally have something to post in here! Just got my rears back from Wheel Flip.

Started out as an 18x9 +41. Had new barrels and lips installed, as well as a fill & redrill to get them to 18x10.5 +20 with a 5" lip. Also had the faces polished.

The fronts are still waiting for the new lips to be completed. Really happy with how the rears came out!

Camry The wheels look absolutely rediculous on your car. Great job....I have always loved the blitz but I never liked their sizing. The rims came out perfect!

anybody know, if SSR gartmaier & vienna courage got the same lip? I want to put vienna's lip on my gartmaiers. Will they fit correctly?
they got 40 holes (18's)? and 30 in 17's... Maybe other models got the same?

Well, I bought some 16x7 SSR Reverse Mesh and want to get new lips and barrells to make them 17x8 +10 and 17x9.5 +10. ive contacted several places via email and havent had any real success. Is there a particular vendor you guys use for new lips and barrells? I pm'ed a few people from this thread yesterday that seemed to be able to acquire them, but have not had any replies.

here is a pic of the wheels as they currently sit. 16x7 +27mm offset. My friend Brian is begging me for them for his 71 510. lol

You could always try Wheelflip, however I will caution you with that recommendation. You might not get the wheels back in ages... It's been quite a "journey" to do what I understood as a fairly straightforward relip/rebarrel and refinish for my wheels.

Yeah, Id rather not send them anywhere and just have the hoops sent to me so I can assemble them myself. Though i think I have a line on another pair with the same exact centers for spares. Id like to get a full 2 sets as I have 2 cars Id like to run them on. otherwise the 2nd car will get my 16in enkie 92's after I have a pair of them widened

I have already emailed wheelfilp anyhow. I think i did so on Monday or Teusday. No response yet.

Edit: Btw, if anyone has 17in ssr mesh wheels, could you pm me? I have some questions about some measurments id like to ask. Im thinking the centers for the 16's I bought are the same for the 17's with stepped lip, but want to confirm. Also looks like it could be close to BBS LM wheels. So if you have a set of those in 17in 3 piece, please pm me as well. Thanks.

I believe that is quite easy.

On the easy side, the lmgt2 appear to be multipiece so it may be as easy as dissassembly and reassembly with a wider barrel.

On the medium easy side, they are 3 piece welded and can be cut apart, grinded down, and rebarrelled. Thats what i had done to my Fabulous wheels.

On the tougher side, they are a 2 piece wheel where they can cut the center out of the OEM welds and make the center singular so it can be used and made into a 3 piece wheel. My local guy does this also.

and, on the very tough side (not the case of the LMGT2) My local shop wheel Medic cuts and widens one piece wheels wheels regularly. so yes. anything is possible as logn as you have the money to do it.

EDIT - I do not work for Wheel Medic, I am just a VERY satisfied customer.

Many people in the U.S can cut and weld them, the U.K is, as always about a decade behind the current trend.
