Help me repairing my bumper
Hi,Zilvians
i picked up a damaged 350z ing rear bumper today. Pics will tell the condition of the bumper. Does anyone have the skill to fix the crack, many hairline cracks, black mark from exhaust and big paint chips? The bumper is fiberglass and color is 350z silverstone. Don't think i want to take it to a shop since they charge too much. $500 to repair and repaint from DTM If some area is hard to fix then i can put a sticker on top of it. Thanks in Advance.

I got a quote here in santa ana area for bumper and fender painted and matched for $300.
maybe cheaper jst for a rear bumper. They also do quality work and im sure they'll take care of those cracks with bondo before priming and painting.

1. Remove all paint with sander, take it down to primer/bare fiberglass. (you're going to want an orbiting air sander)
2. Buy fiberglass matt and resin ($50) Follow instructions and on the parts that are deep/cracked/broken apply matt and resin (2 thin pieces of matt should be enough, it doesnt look like much but it is. 3. Sand down resin to flush with the bumper 4. Use bondo($25ish) or autoglaze whatever you want to fill the minor pinholes and other spots. 5.Sand bumper with 320 grit (make sure everything is smooth, use your whole hand over the areas to check that it is smooth, any slight height differences will show in paint) 6. Prime/sand/paint/sand/clear/sand/buff |

sorry dude, ima have to get back on you on this.
I tried looking for the card they gave me, let alone i try to google map their shop, but from the map, their name isnt really much visible and they are located behind a car wash place. Thats how i found out about them when i got my car washed.

IN order to repaint proper all that spiderweb cracked old paint ,has to be cut down ,filled, levled, primed.
But before that!!!!!! The crack/s needs to be levled, then layered with some chopped strand mat,top & inside. Levle again. Then all that thick looking paint & chips need to be blended in Now prime & check for imperfections, repeat until satisfied. Now its color time!!!

here's the pic installed.
The paint looks crumbled in close up. I need to trim the side marker holes to stick out the markers.
