So my good friend Mr. Kyle (Kyles1988) came out this weekend from Illinois. On Saturday night he snapped a couple of shots and we wired up my Pivot controller. Mine had been sitting on the shelf in the garage for about eight months- seeing his working on the red car inspired me, lol.
Kyle got some pretty cool shots for just messing around in the garage! His car is awesome- really made me want to paint my car red: On Sunday, Kyle came out to a BBQ/Meet that I organized with a couple other guys from our local Michigan forum XceedSpeed.com. The main goal of the event was to raise money for Dai Yoshihara's RFJP.org campaign. Dai was gracious enough to hook me up with some shirts, FD programs, posters, and stickers signed by himself and the other five Falken Formula D drivers- pretty awesome! We had a great turnout- much larger than we anticipated. We ended up having about 350-400 cars out and sold out of everything, including the shirts I designed for the event. In all, we were able to raise $1,700 for the relief efforts over there- pretty awesome! I spoke with Dai about it last night and he was pretty pumped- it's a really good feeling to be able to help the people out over there, even if it has only a small impact. Here are a few shots that people took of our cars together at the event: Whew, sorry about all the pics, lol. Lastly, here is a GoPro vid that Kyle did for me shot from inside my car on the way to the meet: YouTube - ‪Damon not having an S15 front LIKE A BOSS‬‏ Last edited by CamryOnBronze; 07-31-2017 at 07:54 AM.. |

Thanks for all your support for Japan Damon, we're still cleaning up tons here and need the support! Love the side by side shots of your car and Kyles, two of the cleanest koukis in North America at the moment! I wonder about Kyles rear camber setup though, he must go through tires like crazy-looks BOSS though!

Unfortunately we only sold them at the event. I didn't expect them to sell very well outside of that with Michigan on them, haha. Dai is still selling his shirts over at Relief For Japan though! Pretty cool shirts for sure. Quote:

As for the seat, well... I like it like that. lol. Quote:
Unless you're just saying that I copy Kyle's car, lol. Mine was put together before his- you'd have to accuse me of copying BH for that statement to work that way, haha. Still got your visors for you! Quote:
Now on to a small update... |

I haven't added/changed/purchased a lot of parts lately- I am feeling really content with the car and have been enjoying it a lot. Here are a few small goodies, though:
Pivot controller finally installed: I got an awesome deal on some Cusco tension rods, RUCAs, and traction rods, so I had to pick them up. I'll probably toss them on and get another alignment later in the summer. I was against the whole hardcore/heim joint thing for a while, but it's not like it is much of a comfortable street car anymore. These parts will replace the SPC ones on the car currently: I also found a crazy deal on a brand new in box GReddy radiator. The Koyo in the car was given to me for free from a friend shortly after I bought the car and is a little beat up, so I thought this would be a nice addition. I'll be installing it with my GReddy alternator pulley that I have had in the garage for months some time next week: I was fortunate enough to be invited to a local charity show called Eyes on Design on Father's Day for the third time this year. It's an awesome show with a wide range of vehicles held in Grosse Point- always a good time. Washing the car the night before the show: Unfortunately, I ran over an exploded deer later that night driving home. I pulled out to pass someone, and the deer carcass came into view as soon as I cleared the car in front of me at about 85 MPH. I hit the deer dead center of my car, but somehow I managed to come out unscathed. I guess that is the beauty of an OEM lip! Lots of beef Jerky on the exhaust hangers and underside of the car, but I was very fortunate to come out like I did! I couldn't believe it. Here are a couple snaps of the car at the show: The grass was fun, haha: A friend with an awesome R34 and I both got red "runner-up ribbons," and a very clean LSX swapped Starion won the blue ribbon for our class. I am not usually one for car show awards or shows in general, but this one was quite an honor- pretty cool! Starion: R34: I'm heading to a small Nissan gathering this weekend, and then prepping the car for the trip to Import Alliance- not too long now! Getting pretty excited to head down there... Damon |

Nah, not copying by any means, just you and Kyle would make cute twinsies. You two could dress alike but just in different colors for IA too. We could take pics and make posters. It would be good times.

I agree with ixfxi
There are some driving/drifting schools for a fee (of course) you are supplied with a car(s13) a course to your own, and a professional driver in the passenger seat. Nothing but big open pavement, no worries of damaging your own car, and the best in advice you could ask for. Maybe look into some lapping days at your local track, or check out beginner drifting events (parking lots w/cones). Don't worry about fucking up, it's about having fun and learning your car The video you posted was cool and all but not quite what we wanted... Or maybe it's time you told us it's a show car and we can suck it, haha Nice arms btw! |

Yeah, it's pretty much just a street car that occasionally hangs out at shows.
A friend is picking it up- sorry! I'll have to decide when I remove them and post them up for sale- not quite sure yet. I prefer the D-Max position lamp/turn signals, but I can appreciate both looks depending on the car. |
