So, I know I'm always preaching you get what you pay for. Well, this further proves that point. The new car I picked up had a set of Godspeed RS coilovers installed on it, and I had the joy of driving on them for 4 days.

And let me tell you, that was more than was needed to know that these are junk. I was desperate to swap these out from how crappy they rode.

Around city driving on smooth roads, it felt fine, nothing too crazy. But as soon as you hit some bumps, the car just doesn't ride smooth. It doesn't absorb bumps as well as my other coilovers. At random times, depending on the bump, I would seriously hit my head on my t-tops. It was annoying.

I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might do better when driven on aggressively. NOPE.
Every time I'd take a turn aggressively, and there happened to be a bump midturn, the car would hop and throw me off-line, almost in an uncontrolled manner. The car definitely did not induce any kind of confidence the way it rode. If I would push any faster, the bumps would just reduce traction so much, that the car would push out. It did not absorb bumps very well at all. Stiffening the suspension didn't help any.

Luckily, after 4 days I was able to swap my coilovers off my old car into the new car, and the difference was like night and day. Bumps were absorbed and the car drove so much smoother, both on rougher roads and when driven aggressively. The car would not step out of line when it would encounter a bump mid-turn. It would do what you would expect from your suspension, absorb the bump and hold your line.

The fact that they come with 10k spring rates is just a bit much. The dampers are definitely not set up for that kind of spring rate. The ride along and how it handles rough roads is a huge testament to that. Glad to have gotten these crap coilovers off my car. They're going in the trash once I pull them off my old car and upgrade that car to OEM suspension, lol.
