my fronts

215/35 federals on a 18x9.5

aired right up, I used heavy duty valvestems and a fuckton of bead sealer on them and keep them at 50psi because I'm paranoid after I debeaded a 225/40/18 from an 18x10 with a slight bend in the barrel

Would I be safe with 215/40/18 bf goodrich tires which have a thick sidewall on a 9.5 wheel?
I know we all take chances with stretching but is this a worry free stretch or will the thick sidewalls make it hard to stretch at all?
Thanks for any help.

Hey guys, need some advice for my equips. They are 18x13. I'm trying to decide if I should go with a 285/30 or a 295/30 Sumitomo HTR ZIII. I would go for the 285/30 but a small part of me thinks it might be a tad too much stretch. Anyone have any experience with mouting up a 13" wide wheel?

285s arent as extreme as 245s on 18x13, youll be fine. But do sumitomos even stretch well?

I haven't had any problems with them on my other set of wheels. I have a 225/40 on an 9.5 and a 245/40 on an 11 with no issues

I run sumitomo on mine too. They seem fine and stratch well. 235/40 on 10.5 mild stretch tho.

Does anybody else run 225/35r18 federals on 18x11? We just tried that with my rims and there's still like 3/4'' gap from side wall to the lip. Sorry I dont have any pics, but I just dont believe its possible now. We'll try 235s tomorrow.

As far as i know he was the only one that ran 225/35 18x11 that i could find. Try the fire and starter fluid trick, should eliminate that gap!

I just realized federals dont even come in 235/35. I will definitely try starter fluid, if it fails, he other option is 235/35r18 falken 912. I mean it took 3 guys and 2 cheetahs just to get it started lol

Those are my wheels, it was easy to get them on 11's fully seated just push the air pressure to like 100 psi for a day and make sure the barrels and tire beads are lubed well.

My rears are 255-35 on 12's, they will definitely stretch on 12.5's

^Thanks again man! WD-40 and 100psi did the trick for me, even my tire shop guys could not belive it
225/35r18 on 18x11 all around

One of my used rear tires wouldn't strech all the way for some reason, but I drove it from Houston to San Antonio and back yesterday, just got over 500 miles on this set up and it seems to be fine

Tried cheetah at 2 different shops, tried bicycle tube, also tried to heat the tire with a space heater and used starting fluid........

Any advice on getting these 275 35 18 Proxes 4's to take on a 18x12 Meister? Having serious issues due to the barrel design. I have 225 40's on 18x10 Meisters up front which were not an issue. thinking its bad luck! Doesnt seem like it should even be an issue, but it is driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance!

(Tried 265 35 Ziex 912's prior. one seated, the other would not.)

Rpf1's have the same design which makes it crazy hard to stretch. I had to heat the tire with a propane torch then hit them with 2 cheetahs at once. That was for a 225 on 10.5(rpf1).

I think I'll try to shove a 205/65 on a 11 wide wheel. That's gonna be awesome.

I'll contribute the front half of my wheel setup. This is a 215/45 on a 17x10.5. Went on super easy, no starter fluid or excessive PSI

Did anybody ever had some problems with federal tires beads leaking after flipping them? I love these tires but this is 4th time its happening to me, 3 times with 215/35 on 18x10 before and now 225/35 on 18x11. Only had this tire for over month and a half, valve stem started leaking so I had to take the tire off to tighten it up from the inside. Mounted it back up and inner bead is leaking now Thinking about trying different brand of tires.....or mabe different tire shop Any suggestions? Thanks.
