holly moley electrical up in smoke

so what had happen was.....removed the ka. cleaned & painted everything, put it back in. after all connections seemed connected time for juice. heavy smoke from alt. unhooked battery..... left a little black wire unhooked. its got a terminal ring connector. which was touching the larger black terminal on the alt.. and strangely a bare white wire with no connector on the end. on the block behind the alt. there is a plug maybe a sensor idk? it seems there is no plug on my harness to go there. maybe the single white wire belongs there just missing connector? cant figure where this small black wire goes? anywho..fuel pump wont run..dash lights have gone clock lights up but displays nothing. tail lights are gone. any tips?
