Ok, so you found a RB swapped S14 in california.
you live in canada. and you want it. I would say the down right easiest way is to fly to cali, buy it and drive it up. Shipping it to Canada is going to cost more then the plane ticket. Finding and paying someone to inspect it is goin to cost roughly the cost of gas towards a drive to canada. Finding someone to Handle your money for you, and You trust them to give you the title... in california.. with a 240sx.. 5% chance you won't get ripped off. In california 240's are stolen all the time, stripped and left for dead.. by OTHER 240 owners! soooooooo they aren't the most trusting of people from 1000+ miles away. Also, Agreeing with Felipe, a Rb25 here isn't cheap but I bet you could grab one a freaking junk yard for pennies in Canada.. |

If you want to do it Without getting scammed, Buy it through Ebay. Ask him to list it on Ebay with only a 500$ deposit requirement ( so the ebay fee's aren't outrageous ) Purchase it through ebay, and have it shipped.
Then if you don't get the title, call up ebay/ paypal and call fraud. you'll get your money and he'll have cops at his door isn't the price because of that "drift tax" or w/e stupid shit. |

You have to pay the rest Via paypal. 500$ deposit through ebay to win the listing. then finish paying through paypal. I'd ask that the Title is signed Clear and Mailed to you PRIOR to shipping. DO NOT ship it until you get the title. NEXT I would inspect the title, take it to a local registrars office / DMV, have it checked, then ship the car. No need to waste shipping cost if the title isn't clean. not rocket science. |

Do you have a girlfriend (or boyfriend?; fucking PC America)? I'd say the best bet is to fly over here and do everything in person. Make a weekend out of it with your girlfriend (or whomever) and have a nice mini vacay. All the while leaving plenty of time to coordinate the pick up so you can see them load it up and inspect everything in person before it ships back to Canada as well.
I didn't give it enough time when I had my car shipped so I actually wasn't there when it was being loaded up a few days after my transaction. Made me very nervous, but luckily for me, I had a great and honest seller and the coolest truck driver.

ye flying out would be a good idea, i have 2 tickets to San Diego lying around but leaving for a few days doesn't work for me plus I planned on using those for a vacation in Summer
What shipping company did you use and how did you send the funds/ get title? |

I did the transaction in person. I didn't trust anyone to do anything remotely. So you could imagine how nervous I was trusting the seller and truck driver after the vehicle was paid for and I was already back home.
