A c33 with space in the engine bay
For the first time in almost 10 years I've found a forum that seems active enough to post on, so here goes.. Bear with me as I learn how to get photo sizing and hosting correct
This is my sr20 Laurel, I've had it for a few years and its been a pain in the arse honestly, not sure why a piece of scrap Nissan makes me do this to myself but after 3 of them I've finally decided to keep one. After what i've done to it i'm not sure anyone else would actually want to own it after me, so guess im keeping it forever... Here's a couple of shots of it when I picked it up years ago. And a small shot of how it sits now.. I will update soon with the struggles I've had with wiring and everything else, and anything new I do to it. Any questions please ask away, I'd love to help anyone with these cars, I love them. Last edited by maplelaurel; Yesterday at 03:00 AM.. |

Update;
Engine bay was looking worse for wear, so that only means one thing. A complete rewire and top to bottom panel & paint Impatience means putting the motor back in on grass and soft dirt. Surprised that this was even possible tbh Factory colour with a bit of blue in the clear, looks fantastic in the sun but I don't really have a good enough camera to show this; All door jams and inside of the doors, boot lid etc all resprayed the same colour. Got a little carried away and did all the hinges and even the factory sr catch can.. In some lights it looks like the black pearl, and in others it turns blue so I'm excited to see what the outside looks like while rolling down the road. Please excuse the interior as that's on hold until after the respray and rewire Some previous owner drilled holes in the front guards for the quick release bumper retainer things so had to weld those up (im shit at welding) Not the best but nothing a hammer, dolly and bog cant fix Its amazing what a de-loom and paint can do. Also there's no p/s pump or lines as I've gone for a manualized rack setup. That is a huge job in itself to do properly and have it certified for road use, and will probably feel like shit when done but I kinda want to fuck around and find out Il be painting the outside of the car soon and then on to the re-wire of a re-wire Any comments or ideas welcome, lets revive the forum huh Last edited by maplelaurel; Yesterday at 04:20 AM.. |
