s13 ECU Code 14: Vehicle Speed Sensor
Hello,
Hoping to get some input regarding my car throwing CEL code 14. Car info: 92 KA24DE Manual I'm getting a CEL and the ECU is reading code 14. The tach works fine, speedometer intermittently works, but most of the time it is inoperable. When it is not functioning, neither my odometer or trip meter work. When it is functioning, they both work and the CEL goes away. I replaced the speed sensor in the trans this last weekend, but unfortunately the issue persists. Any thoughts on possible solutions?? The speed signal goes sensor - speedometer - ECU. If the speedometer has a fault then the ECU won't get a good speed signal.

I had pretty much the same problem (just with no CEL), replaced the speed sensor and didn't work. Turns it out was my cluster that was bad. Replaced the cluster and everything worked again.
