Looking for some tips dudes,
Currently running front: 225/40/18 on 9.5+15 rolled fenders with 12mm spacer and -4.5* camber rear: 255/35/18 on 10.5+15 pulled/rolled no spacers and -2.0* camber Fronts rub a little on full lock. Rears rub consistently when car squats. Tires are Federal 595s. From my understanding, federal tires run big. But is this true? Like, are they substantially larger than other tire brands? Im in the process of buying new tires and would like to go wider in the front, and would like to stay with the 255's in the rear. Would like to run 245's in the front or ideally run a 255 square setup. I like the Hankook Ventus V12s. I wouldn't want to change my ride height though. Any suggestions would be great.

that looks pretty stretched dude^^^
you need to be putting 275 or preferably larger on those wheels, or go to the stretched tire/fitment thread. |

Yeah Delado, completely wrong thread...
We can't help you unless you raise the car at inch atleast. 245's are going to rub fender well quite easily at full lock. If you like your stance, then leave the tires as is. Otherwise, tub it or come back with a taller ride height for more tire.

Less sidewall flex for a more responsive tire, and that's not really stretched at all, stretched would be 215 on 10".

Are we talking the same sidewall ratio? Because the same tire height a wider tire is going to have a lower ratio and perform better.

I was just talking about 255/40-17 on 10j vs 255/40-17 on a smaller width rim such as 9j. Usually the bigger the rim is, without stretching, the less sidewall flex there will be. Honestly though, I'm sure the difference is minuscule. To give you an idea though, 255 mm equals almost exactly 10 in, so IDK why you would want to use a smaller rim width if you had the option to use a 10j rim.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you look at most tire companies' websites they will recommend 10 in. rims for 255/40-17 tires.

S14 RB25DET
18x9 +30 R34 GTR wheels with 5mm spacers front and back 245/45/18 Nitto NT05 Tires I am really wanting to look for an option of tires and wheels that I can put on this to fit the most tire I can with stock fenders at 0 camber in the rear and 2.5 degrees of camber in the front. What do you all think? |

Try 255/35 f 265/35 r. might need 1 or 2 degrees of camber in the rear and about 3 in the front but that's okay. For grip 1 or 2 in the rear is good, I would only use 0 for drift. Front will probably need bigger spacer for inner clearance though with 255s.

Still undecided on tires
18x9.5 +19 F and 18x9.5 +22 R (rear track is spaced out a bit with adjustable LCA's) 235/40r18 is too skinny 245/40r18 is too tall 245/35r18 is too expensive/limited 255/35r18 might rub fuck me This is nice. Did you have to pull the front fenders as well? They look stock |

Ya that's the plan on the car is drift and I really want to get to 0 rear. I can still roll my stock fenders since they are not rolled yet in the rear but I am not sure what wheels to get. Goal is 275 in the rear on 0 offset but maybe I am just dreaming. |

Thanks for the love guys!
Yes the front fenders are stock and pulled/rolled. My biggest issue was the tires rubbing on the inside fender well and the drivers harness. I drove around town rubbing really bad at first, then pulled off my wheels and looked at where there were rub marks and beat those areas in with a hammer until there was no more rubbing lol |

Okay then, for drifting you don't really need "max rubber". I would recommend trying 225/40 in the front with anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees of camber (huge spacers or extended FLCA with knuckles for more inner clearance and angle) and 235/40 in the rear since they're cheap (maybe 265 if you have an LS1 or something) with anywhere from 0 to 1 degree of camber. You really don't need big tires unless you have huge power. To give you an example, Daigo Saito has 1200hp and he only uses 265/35-18 front and rear. Basically, for drifting the "max rubber" idea doesn't really apply, but you can run big rear tires and crank up the psi for more smoke if you want, it just burns tires quicker and wastes money. Good for contests though.

So as I said before what wheel combo would get me "max rubber" under the stock fenders at 0 degrees of camber on an S14 with rolled fenders. I have been trying to go through all the pages of this thread but most people I find do not run 0 degrees of camber Thank you for all of your help. |

If your rear is 18x9+30 (no spacers) then I believe the biggest tire you could fit would be 275/35-18 with no major fender work (just a roll, maybe slight pull) and 0 camber. In the front you really want as much inner clearance as you can get if you plan on using knuckles, but you could go with anywhere from 225/40 to 265/35 depending on a lot of things like camber, offset, etc. If you want 265s in the front, then you should probably get wider fenders.

^^you just need to run a combo that isn't super low offset like most of the cars on here. You could run 18x9 +20 front on 255/35 with minor rolling/pulling and 10j with a 30+ offset in the rear under stock rear fenders with 295's with little to no camber. Check out silviaks2nr car i think he runs 18x11 +30 with a 295 I believe with what looks like a mild roll

I'm just checking in to see if anybody runs wider than 265's up front on an s13.
That's what I'm running now, but want to run 285 up to 305 up front now. I don't mind cutting and running bigger flares.

im running 265's up front with modded knuckles, so with normal knuckles there is no reason you can run a 285 up front...
