On Safari just disable 'styles' under the developer options, then you can right click save as. (Obviously only good If you use a Mac)

Any time you see an image on a site that you can't right-click and save, it's because they have some dumbass bit of HTML sitting over it, it's just an image container with no image.
Anywho, if you're browsing with Chrome, you can right-click a picture and select Inspect Element, it will show you the markup for the page you're looking at. If you root around a bit, you should be able to find the url for the image, which you can then past into a new tab, and save the image with no bs. Using the Inspect Element feature also allows you to delete any html (usually stupid blank images sitting on top of content that you want) from the page as you please in real-time. This can be handy for watching videos on sites where they want you to click a couple links before watching your video (this is how I watched new episodes of Breaking Bad before they were on Netflix, and without giving out my email to any dumbass sites). Keep in mind you are only controlling the HTML that is rendering to your screen, you're not actually changing their site, so you'll have to do it every time you want to grab content this way.

yeah or, the photographer doesn't want you stealing their work.
judging by the big VERTEX sticker on the dashboard, i think it would be safe to assume... well, Vertex. Last edited by yomisiu; 11-08-2012 at 02:22 PM.. |

This is exactly flickr's goal when the owner sets their sharing options to non-downloadable in the first place. Kind of sucks because people crop out or PS out watermarks and the watermarks that cover the entire photo take away from the photo.
