on searching it seems like a few ppl have put like an aluminum cover and just welded or sheet screwed it into the frame, where others have relocated etc etc. just wanted to see what the smartest/simplest solution would be to problem. thanks for help! pictures coming this weekend when im done with headlights =)

You should be able to pull on it and gain some slack.. Maybe try redrilling a hole closer to where it comes out of the firewall.

i had a heat shield laying around from another car and used that screwed it up there and no problems since
fix it before it starts eating the harness up it happened to me good luck

what I've done to the 2 S14's we have is to re-position the harness above that lip that protrudes out on the frame. i don't have a pic to show you but anyone who has taken their front fenders off knows what i'm talking about. A couple of well placed hole for the zip ties and your harness is free and clear .

If you want to do quite a bit of work, relocate the wiring to inside the engine bay. No cutting or tucking, just out of the fender and through the engine bay side. I also then put another hole on the other side of the wheel well and welding the one outside so there is no plastic or any wires at all in the wheel well area. I will come back to this post and edit it with photos after I take some tonight to show you what I mean.

It is quite a bit of work since you have to take out the dash (or it is easier imo to just take out the dash) and then pull all the wiring on that side.

Make sure to take a picture of where you're drilling the new hole in the firewall. I've been thinking of doing this, just don't want to drill the hole and hit something else important.

Unfortunately, I already have a local picking it up whenever he's in my area. The bumper is not too bad in shape since the middle piece needs to be glass'd and fill the holes I made for zip ties.

Some insight:
I will have aero and OEM aero next month, and I just need to bring them to the shop to get them painted.
Thank for the bumper again man. It's already coming along nicely.

Mines still pretty stock. Just coils and the swap. It had stock Kouki wheels on it when I got it, so I just swapped them for the Volks on my 13.
