Installed my clear signals/markers last night.

Kind of dig them, especially because I was able to hide all of the orange from the bulb.

Dude, looks WAYY better. I think the amber clashes with the color too much personally....I wouldn't consider it make or break, but I definitely like the clear on there more .

The more I think about it, and compare pictures of the car with the amber lights to pictures with the clear, I think the amber worked in my brain because it was always the first thing that I'd see because it was so out of place. This sort of draws attention from some of the details on the rest of the car.

Now that I've gone to clear lights, they seem to blend in with the body more so everything seems to flow better up front, but now I'm starting to notice a bunch of weird things that I haven't before, especially how awkward the rear windshield to trunk body line is and how the car just doesn't seem to sit 'right'... I'm not sure if it's because the front camber is back at -4* from ~-2* or if it's because of how Conservative my fender clearances are.

In any case, if I can find the time, extended studs and 15mm spacers are going on the front this weekend, and I'm re-rolling (probably pulling) my rears. Right now I'm at -2.5* of camber with a 225/40/18 on a 9.5 +20... I'm thinking if I keep the camber constant at -2.5, I should only need a 5mm - 10mm spacer in the rear to get the desired aesthetic effect. Some sort of spoiler is in the cards too, I'm just not sure what will break up the lines the best...

I'm not sure if that actually means anything outside of a Dupont Spectra Master Catalog, since getting touch up paint was a pain in the ass since apparently the spectra master information only exists in 10 year old books. Also, for what it's worth, the color changes drastically depending on the camera and lighting:







I just call it teal.

color looks awesome. i'm in the process of painting mine, and debating between a white or a blue, which would have been the Apex Blue from the S2K.

You can actually just get this one clear orange spray and go over your lights to make them amber. They look better than you think.

It's called Tamiya TS-73 Clear Orange and comes in a small can with a clear orange cap.

I keep coming back to aero mirrors, and I don't know if I want to go down that road or not. Buying anything that looks good means that I'm dropping a few hundred, which I could probably spend on something a little more substantial.

I really dig the dmax trunk lip/wing a lot, but I'm not so sold on the roof wing. I wish someone local stocked stuff like that so I could mock up a bunch of different combinations to see what works and what doesn't.

Oh word, sounds rad. One thing that I've noticed about having a 'bright color' like Red/Blue/Green/Teal etc is that it can make an almost okay car look like death. It's sort of the whole 'hey look at me' factor of the color mixed with often subpar execution (not saying you will just speaking in the hypothetical tense) that makes so many cars suck.

The Parking Lights (next to the headlight) are just OEM lights. When they were amber, they were wrapped with 3M amber translucent vinyl that I bought from ebay for like $7. It's awesome because removing it is as simple as heating it up and peeling it off.

The Turn Signals and Marker lights are circuit sports (junyan).

That's exactly why I sort of want to go with a white color. Always wanted white, it's a lot more subtle.
