they're....just so sexy
I HAD a deal on these from some user on this forum. $1500 shipped with good tires. Then they got 'lost' in the mail and the seller collected insurance money and I received a refund. I know I got my money back but I suspected something fishy....

Anyways this last pick with the orange looks a lot like my car. I kind of wanted to do a deeper, more traditional orange on my AMEs. I don't want to overdo it with all of the orange markers and orange S15 seats though

I made a post not long ago and promised more... sorry for the wait. Also, sorry that the pictures aren't perfect, the Toyota superwhite paint reflects so brightly that its hard to get the f/stop low enough without making the picture itself too dark. :-)

What made you want to go with 7kg in the rear? anything in particular? i'm wanting a lower spring rate that just lets the rear end dig a little more. I have always heard good things about Fortune Auto, but after looking over the Feal's, i think i might end up with those.

Absolutely not, this car actually sees the track. If I drop it any lower, the geometry won't be right. I AM waiting on some Front and rear knuckles. Then, I will surely drop a little lower.

my main priority from coilovers is to be low again, while being comfortable.

my current tein lowering springs are comfortable, now only if I could be about 3 inches lower from current height...

I am really thinking about the Feal 441's ATM. i mean..for $1350 shipped with any spring rate of swift springs and shock valving with good internals...I think I'll have my self a deal here.

I've tried 9k/8k springs with Stance's before.. deff. felt better and more comfortable then 8k/6k.[mind you this is on stock stance shock valving]

when ever I have the money for it, i'll be making my decision on BC's or Feals.

any more inputs other then Koni/GC and KW's?

Good on ya man, I like guys like you that actually value suspension geometry. That ride height is perfect in my eyes; pretty much how low I'd want my S14 to go... I'm curious, what do you run for suspension?

I have Stance coils with 10k/8k springs. Everyone said it was gonna be way too harsh of a ride, but I don't mind it at all. I've ridden in cars with different set ups, and I actually had Stance coils with 8k/6k springs before, and I prefer 10k/8k. Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to some Swift springs soon, but for now these are fine.

Then again, I got them for a killer price and Stance is local to me, so I'm a little biased.

Now, if I was building a "race car" and not a street car, I would be looking into higher end suspensions probably. But for a street car these are perfect.

Also, what is this "suspension geometry" you speak of?

I'm telling you man. You can listen to all of our .02 cents all day but I think you'd be better off calling Feal tomorrow. Odi usually answers and will gladly talk your ear off about all manner of suspension possibilities lol.

I'm either getting these or some 326 Power ones just for the fuck of it before I leave...or maybe the JIC Magic FLT-A2 Coilovers in the FS thread if anyone has input?

I think I'll end up passing on the Takata Green TE37SLs...these NaVaNs on Meisters have changed my mind...

I actually like having educated conversations about suspension, it's one of those things that I don't mind talking about all day long unless someone with their first ever set of coilovers chimes in about a company that I've already had and dealt with for long time.

I know you guys will disagree with me on my wheel/tire sizes on my car all day long, but suspension, you guys do it right IMO.

side note..that white s14 looks frekin awesome, but it needs bigger tires imo. :P

just he fact that you are referencing an already overused meme I can tell you are a nut-swinging fad *snip which explains why you begged for my car to be lower like every cookie cutter 240.

As for the person inquiring about my suspension, I also use he Stance GR+ Pros like the guy above with swift 12k/10k springs. All arms/rods/etc. are a mixture of fully adjustable aftermarket parts. Actually have no sway bar in the rear would you believe it. I like it actually. also a few under chassis braces and a rear strut bar compounded with a c-pillar brace above it. This setup leaves me with what I call "extinct" understeer.

Fair enough! By the same token...call Odi tomorrow then LOL!

I have 18" right now. Next 'purchased new' set will be 17" with fat tires.

no understeer..? I actually like having a bit of understeer to tell me that I am pushings my limits.

what's your ackerman angle looking like?

on the bigger tire/wheel thing..I would love to do 17"front/18"rear setup but my front brakes won't allow me to run 17" wheels except very few.

Ideal would be 245/40/17 on 17x9+15~0m in front, 275/35/18 on 18x10+35~20mm. [Party alignment in front, business alignment in the back ]

eh I don't seem to have any issues exceeding my limits without the understeer. and I do have a slight issue with Ackerman when drifting over 70mph. it makes it difficult to stay on the outer line of the turn. like i said I'd like to put some knuckles on the front and the rear.

ever try drifting at high speeds with the front sway bar disconnected?

it'll be a surprise but good god does the car dance

Car looks good, I'm sure you can focus on actual driving then hitting things more.
I sometimes scratch my head thinking how in the world I drove my S14 3" lower then it is right now for 4 years with out destroying my front bumper.

From this height...

To this height..

I have driven an S13 with no sway bars at all, I let the owner take his car back after 2 laps. feels too much like a boat. although its easy to make em slide. I can see how it's an advantage for underpowered cars.

As much as I have nothing truly against "suspension geometry" being perfect or whatever... I feel that if a car has aero it should be pretty low... Idk, to me it just looks a little weird with aero and not low. To each their own though, not trying to get into some huge debate here.

Get Driftworks' knuckles, they're pretty good. The amount of steering lock is mental..

I'm on JIC Magic FLT-A2. I haven't tried any other coilover since I've started drifting, but for me they have worked wonderfully and still strong 2 years later. Street driving is comfortable I might add!
