Its his curve of progression from last year until now and his ease in doing it.

When you get to the collegiate level and beyond, you're no dropping your times by drastic amounts. You shaving only a couple tenths of a second at best. Which is why track is so grueling. You bust your ass for a whole year just hoping to run .2 seconds faster.

This dude has ran maybe a dozen professional 100m races EVER and out of nowhere he runs a 9.72 breaking the record earlier this year and then blazes a 9.69 the other day dicking around across the finish line. Umm yeah...



Lets talk about the 200. Last year at the World Championships in Osaka, Tyson Gay made him look like he was standing still at the top of the curve. Gay didnt even run his personal best of 19.68 (which was the 3rd fastest time ever until recently) that day. Gay won with a 19.76 and Bolt finished second with a 19.91. So you mean to tell me that Bolt comes back within a YEAR doesnt run a 19.8, a 19.6 or hell even a 19.5. He comes back and breaks a 12 year record by 2 100ths of second and runs 19.30.

And before anybody asks about him being tired or whatever last year, WRONG. You train to peak at finals/champion time, so he was at his best.

19.91 to 19.30 in a year without a performance enhancing substance?

Either way, they keep your blood and urine samples for 8 years and with the tests getting more sophisticated literally by the month, we'll all know soon enough whether or not he's clean.

I get what you're saying, but I still think he's clean. I don't see Crawford or anyone doubting his times. I mean, the same thing can be said about Phelps....or hell any Olympic athlete of the past who won by longshots all the time and in world record time....its always going to raise skepticism. But isn't that what the Olympics is for? To find that human freak that can get seemingly impossible numbers.

i also thought that phelps was a juicer, but after having a talk with a co-worker, he said that phelps gives blood at the end of every day on his OWN WILL so people can test his blood for any drugs/etc...i'm still trying to find the source of this information and once i do i'll let you know...here's one for BOLT:

of course they're not going to doubt him on world broadcast television, dude. Thats bad for publicity and it looks bad for the country making accusations.

My point is not that he got the times its when. Like i said, its his curve of progression that raises my suspicions. I'm not talking out of my ass dude. I run track and i train with and run against guys who went to the US trials.

Had Asafa Powell got the record (his teammate who had the record in the 100 before) it would have made sense. He would have had a whole string of races leading up to it, so it would make sense. Same with Phelps, we saw glimpses of his greatness early on. Lets not forget, Phelps won 6 (i think) golds in 2004. So him doing what he did this year, really wasnt a surprise. It was amazing no doubt, but you kinda knew he would do it.

Knowing what i know and seeing what i see at this level, Bolts numbers just dont add up.

Yeah, I get you. Well, if he where cheating, it wouldn't be long before we find out. The person in the spotlight gets looked at more closely, especially if they're placing gold and setting crazy records.

Until then, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and enjoy his freakishly fast races. I love his funny and playfull attitude. Haha. I totally understand your thinking though, revat.

All the good work China did to put on these Olympics could be forgotten because of an unnecessary, arrogant move by the government. Why risk everything to put a 14-year old in the competition when they could have replaced her with an of-age 16-year old gymnast? Sure, He Kexin is a better gymnast than the Chinese gymnasts who were eligible to compete, but with the judges they had at the Olympics, would it really have mattered?

That comment is so true. I could have replaced her on the Chinese
team and China still would have gotten a gold.
