Apparently with the JDM ECU you need some kind of Boost Cut Defender, or Fuel Cut Defender

im just confused because i have read that altering the Voltage on the MAP signal will screw everything up instead of fixing the issue

trying to see if anyone on here has any experience with this.

I see a few kit for z33-34 and z32 but cant find feedback.
R154 are starting to be really pricy, suprises me no one tried z32 and z33 transmission
swap with success and a good write-up
R154's can be found for a decent price, you just have to be diligent with it. I actually picked up an R154 with a JZ bell housing on Saturday for $600. But I've been consistently looking for weeks, and a friend gave me a tip on that specific seller. You just have to keep at it. If you're looking on the internet, I'd say either look that the Club Lexus and Supra Mania forums, or just on Craigslist. And look multiple times a day. You will see R154's going for $300, but they don't last long.

Depends on your location as well, or else you're paying shipping. It took me 8 months to find one under $650, and that still came with no clutch, flywheel, bell housing, hub, fork, shifter extension. NADA.

According to some thread on Toymods with a 2jzgte vvti that comes with both MAF & MAP, the only purpose of the MAP is Boost cut, twin turbo prespool, and to increase 9v to 12v at the fuel pump when higher on the pressure. I ran the twins for a few months and i was hitting fuel(boost) cut at around 14.9psi, then added a HKS FCD but then found out that I cant use that and i needed a BCC (boost cut controller) to work on this engine.

Now on ToyMods I found out that once you go single turbo and you run a new relay to run switched 12v power to the fuel pump and no longer letting the ecu control the pump that all you have to do to eliminate boost cut is to take the hose of the map sensor and block the hose with something and leave the sensor plugged in and that will take care of boost cut. Many have confirm that this works and they have no issues. I'm in the process of putting my engine back (with a single swap) in so ill get back and leave some feedback on this matter.

Hmm, I don't want to ever go single. Do you know the solution if you are staying with twins and want to go past 15psi?

Does the 9 - 12v operation only meant to work with stock supra fuel pump or will it work for my walbro 255 too?

it will work with both, it all depends on how you wire up the engine, I would run a relay for just the fuel pump though, to keep the ECU from controlling it.

Yeah I know that as it works with pretty much anything in life.
never seen a r154 this cheap here and when they are cheap they dont have a JZ bellhousing or they are damaged.
The market for those transmission where I live is around 1500$ and in great shape 1700$.....crazy price if you ask me...

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that a filter? if so you can go to any auto parts store and they should carry something similar to that.

who runs a swirl pot?

here is a question for you guys. on my sr's i've always run the return to the lower rad hose using a buddy club hose adapter but the 2j water pump has a nipple right after the thermostat on the back of the water pump. (in the pic below it's capped) my question is can i just run the return right to that nipple? (i don't need it anymore, i would either use it for the swirl pot or cap it)

I used Get nuts lab mounts on an S13. I have not put the hood back on but, there is no way there will be any clearance lol. also my GodSpeed sway bar does not clear either. this mounts push the motor really close to the fire wall.
