If so, hows the fitment around the door? |

Aside from the problem of the mold itself, it is extremely hard to shape clear material without showing inconsistencies. Since it is clear and also reflective, your eye will pick up all the imperfections. Lol it would be much easier to deal with the little holes haha. Rules: Picked up some minty amber HKS gauges from Adam@feastauto

anyone have a good suggestion for foam/rubber tube to wrap cage?
ive tried 2 different types so far but still unsatisfied. looking for squishy and pretty bendable but not super thick. also open to other options like cloth tape or something.

so i work at the home depot and theres insulation for copper pipe that is nice and foamy, squishey, softness. then just wrap eletrical tape around it. check your local lowes/home depot/plumbing supply house.

im using a pool noodle ish material right now, but its probably a CM thick.
but since its kind of stiff it doesnt bend to well for the cage halos and shiz. kind of just looking for personal experience and pictures of stuff others have tried.

The real question is...
What color did you order? I had blue in the S14 and I had some black in the S13. They have a ton of colors though. Did you order the CUSCO tape that goes with it?

AA/113-40 OMP ROLL CAGE RUBBER SLEEVE 2m ROLL 40mm FIA | eBay
This or something similar is what you're probably looking for. I think you'd want the 50mm version if you're using the thick pool noodle type padding, though don't quote me on that. |

I know with NASA/SCCA, you need to insure that the wrap is legitmate and approved stuff, not just pool noodle crap. I know the safety rules for drifting are suspect at best, but I'd make sure of their requirements first.
Mine is similar to this: http://www.google.com/products/catal...ed=0CE4Q8wIwAg

I've edited my post for those that compete. Why even wrap it for the street? The kids in the parking lots could care less...may as well buy fuzzy cloth.
