I'm pretty pumped for the DLC in general, some cool shit going on. Hopefully they keep cranking out tracks, cars, and race tunes.

I'm acutally going to pick that up today, I love racing games period, so when I new one comes out I gotta get my greasy hands on it. But I'll definitely tune back into GT5 when that DLC's come out.

If they would just convert some key cars from standard into premium and gave us all our favorite GT tracks they would really have a winner here.

Oh snap! I forgot about the Seattle city course! Now IF we could just get them to add Virginia International Raceway. Great road course! The Oak Tree turn would really mess with people since no track you see has a huge 100+ year old tree only feet away from the apex of the turn. IIRC it's almost 4 miles worth of road course.

Any of you guys got any favorite underdog/sleeper /uncommon cars to play with online? I know 450- 500pp seems like a popular limit for street car online racing,

500PP streetcars is my bitch! Thats all I fucks with! Yo, the Nismo Z-tune Z33 is surprisingly fast and nimble. Better handling than the stockish looking Premium Z's and stupid crazy top end somehow. Plus it's like the only Z that will let you equip Turbos instead of Superchargers...

I think everybody knows about the RX7 Spirit R, RX8 and S2000. I hate the defacto cheat cars like the E46 M3 & NSX R, so these are the only cars I've been able to somewhat battle them with.

One that I haven't driven yet, but have been surprised by a few times was the RUF 3400S. Another one has been the C5 Corvette detuned to fit under the 500PP cap. Its still really fast.

I tried some other overlooked cars like the SW20, Miata's, older Z's but much like the S chassis, I found them only to be about average.

There's one standard car, I can't remember the exact name of it now, I think it's either Hommel or Berlinetta, some shit that I've never heard of. It's always in white when it's in the used car lot and when you when it. That thing handles AMAZING out the box. I'll have to look up the right name.

do any of you guys play with the racing line and drivers aids? I think i laughed at my friend who is a car guy, always keep that stuff on.. i turn it all off and turn the music off as well.

I use the racing line if I'm in a serious race but don't know the track. All aids/tcs off, but ABS set at 1.

Sidenote: Does anyone else think the Racing Hard tires are a complete useless joke? With the new 'Suspend Race' feature, I'm taking my first whack at the Endurance Races using a F1-esque two pit stop strategy. I started on Racing Softs to build up a nice lead before switching to Racing Hards for the majority of the race.

Surprisingly, the Racing Softs lasted 20 laps with still a little life in them on my Gran Turismo 350Z RS. I switched to the Racing Hards and (predictably) there was less grip. What was really crazy though is that they lasted even shorter time than the Racing Softs! 20 laps on them and they were totally cooked. I was hoping for at least 30 laps on the hards...

HP? Idk, I just raced it the way I got it and placed in the top 3 a few times. Tires? I used Racing soft, they're my personal favorite for race under 10 laps like these. You guys have to get in on this, these cars are fun as shit to race. They carry so much speed thru the turns and handle sooo well, they aren't nearly as tail happy as I thought they would be. That is, until you get a little to greedy or someone tail taps you. Then you'll end up doing a few 360's.
