What hardware are you using with those BBS's? Do they use standard 5/16" or M8 12-point hardware? I tried to buy some gold hardware from a BBS distributor and it was incredibly expensive when you consider that you need 40 bolts per wheel lol.

They use 12 point 7m bolts (~35mm long), which are nearly impossible to find - I know because I've looked everywhere!

Are these the bolts you speak of?

Yeah that's what I was looking at as well. The 12pt M7x32mm gold head. $1.60/ea x 160 bolts (40/wheel) = $250+ for bolts? Ouch. I could have some cheap ones powder coated gold for less than half of that.

I got my lips from a guy in Germany. Communication is not the greatest, but he does great work and is dead on with his timing. He told me 3-4 weeks to get the lips made and shipped out and I got them in almost exactly 3.5 weeks.

He told me he can make lips for any wheel. So if you want to give me some measurements and pictures I can see what he says.

I have 32 bolts per wheel on my 17" RSs, so that should help with cost a little bit. All of the RSs I've gotten from Japan come with the chrome BBS bolts, so I can always sell my chrome ones for a shit ton and order new ones, but I like the chrome, and would just paint them if i wanted another color.

I have been speaking with a local bolt guy and he said he can get different colored strong bolts made of the RSs, so we'll see what happens with that!

Not too huge of an update, but I wrapped my headers (I did it two different days and haven't taken pictures of them completed yet). I know it'll reduce engine bay temperatures, and I love the way it looks.

I'll get the completed photos tomorrow or the next day when I go work on the car more.

I also got my Corvette FPR/Fuel Filter together with the fittings to let it plug right into the stock rubber lines at the fuel tank and a -6AN fitting to run a braided line up to the fuel rail (LS1s only have a single fuel line, the FPR and Fuel Filter is an all in one unit that bleeds off fuel right there!).

My friend Andrew helped me take all 136 bolts out of my other set of RSs...I only got the lip off of one wheel, I have to throw the rest in the oven and break them down so I can clean them up and get the faces machined to fit my car.

Stock 17X7 +45 with 1/2 inch lip -

Lip removed -

17X11 +12 with 4.5" lip!

Thats it for now. I am working on wiring and getting my suspension buttoned up this week. There is a drift event on the 3rd of July...so I will ideally have my car running and tuned by then, hahaha, which probably will not happen.
