Damn I have to get to a nismo fest. Been looking up prices and what not for like a 2-3 week trip to japan to see the country also. Would you say its easy for a non speaking japanese person to get around and find his way around? I'll be fresh off the boat lol. Also what can you tell me about the race car rides at nismo fest? I mean is it like a hot lap or what? Would love to get in the passenger seat of a race car with pro driver. What cars do they run do you know?

I didnt see one this time around but we were kinda on a time crunch since we live 7 hours away and had to make it back before curfew so we had to leave around 2:00 to make it home on time

Shouldnt be that bad, I know a good bit of Japanese though but other Military ppl manage just fine. If you stick close to the Military bases alot of locals speak some english in those areas that and Tokyo, My parents spent a few days down there if they can manage anyone can lol

We didnt get to stay that long so I didnt find out if anyone can ride or not, sure you could if you were some super cool VIP dude/Shop owner. I mainly saw R35's and Z33/34's out on the track

yea I hear the tickets sell fast for the race car rides. 10,000 yen for a ticket. I was just curious if its like an all out lap or just a cruise around in it. I want to be scared shitless, holding on for life. It's in the ticket info section on the website, but it doesn't give details about the rides itself, just some conditions that have to be met before hand. There are 4 different tickets you can get. All kinds of cool stuff lol. Thanks for the info.

My Y33 finally arrived last week.
It's a Cedric Gran Turismo RB25DET 4WD







Had a hesitation issue that's was kinda difficult to narrow down due to being a A/T but after hooking up the Nissan Data Scan tool I found out the O2 sensor was bad(go figure)

It's a pretty nice car, the wife and I though wish it was a M/T though but oh well

Not gonna spend a whole lot of this mainly cuz I cant keep it but should be able to get what I put into it.

hardest part is that its 4WD and the coilover are for 2WD so I have to convert it to 2WD and some custom FLCA are needed which nobody makes so I gotta make my own, I already have a design that im gonna use just need to get it up on a lift to get some measurement

wel this was gaining back some speed but now its slowing back down due to the Force Reduction shit going on right now. I should be safe but just on the safe side gonna hold off till i know for sure,

But before this I finally picked up a JUN crank Collar for the RB so i can/could take it down to the machinist and get the block bored/honed and such.



Also picked up a Cool box for it and Tomei 3 Point tower bar

Since I have an ARC theme going on i fig Id expand it, Picked up some ARC BOV's to replace the Type S's



Then picked up some R32 Camber Arms from a buddy



And a Power FC ECU with half the boost controller kit off the Auctions

I NEED to go to Nismo Festival sometime in my life. I'd love to go next time I head back to Japan. I've read about them for years now in GTR magazine and other magazines, so it would be nice to make the pilgrimage.

Also sucks that you've had to dial back the build a bit. Any other future plans you have for the RB26?

Def pretty bad ass, especially when you see and hear them on the track.

Shit's hitting the fan up here alot, still need to find out what they are doing with this force reduction thing and then some guy that was PCSing was taking a SR20 back and said some stupid shit and the Shipping company is refusing to take the engine saying he needs a EPA letter or some shit as well as TMO saying the same thing, so i dont wanna do all this machine work to find out they are gonna separate me then not being able to bring my RB back if I cant finish it in time.....

haha thanks guys, still slow going. Im Hoping that when I get my tax return I can get the block down to the shop for the machine work, and possiby buy some coilovers for it.

in the mean time I install the suspension and wheels on the Y33

Got stupid lucky for this. Was able to pick up an N1 Heater controller!

Not really a fan of the GTR's DCC since it has a mind of it own sometimes for the Recirc control and to turn off the A/C you have to turn the whole unit off then on to turn it off.

Only issue is that there is no A/C button so either gonna make a switch for the compressor or use parts from an USDM S13 CC to use in the N1



EDIT: well just opened up th controller and seems like A/C wont be an issue looks like the electronics are there just needs a A/C button installed ^_^

Little BS stuff,

Had an S13 Dart Izumi rear section. Dont wanna hack it up so Welded up a Mid pipe to bolt up to it.

surprisingly (kinda) the S13 and R32 pretty much share the same mounting points/routing

the tips stick out a little longer than normal but oh well.





Then installed the Tomei 3 point tower bar

Think I found the engine shop around here so hopefully get the RB sent down after I send $500 on road tax for my cars....

Picked up some Ikeya Formula RUCA's from upgarage and some cheap used KTS coilovers and FUCA as well and installed them today.




Coilover rides fairly well, I was surprised.
Still need to adjust them a little, I want to go lower and can but cuz this base uses tiger claws at the main gate that are raised 3-4 inches above the pavement I do t wanna be grinding my frame rails over them and risk rust forming
