My name is Ray and Im from the Central Coast of California.
Im a technician by trade and currently have several older Datsun's.
1968 Datsun 2000 project
1970 240Z mostly stock
and a Rat Rod of a 1974 260Z with an RB25det

Ill be honest,
Im here mostly to sell and buy parts for my projects as thats how I keep them on the road. I will do my best to contribute where I can. Im tired of dealing with the kids over at NICOclub and several local guys have pointed me over here. So I thought Id give this a try even though it looks like this forum is orientated toward newer Nissans. I have seen a few folks in here with questions about the older cars.

Hm. Hello various members of Zilvia... I am a long time lurker, so i figured i'd go ahead and post here. Anywho, following a nice little gift from my grandma this christmas, i'll be getting a 240sx of my very own. I can't wait for it honestly. I live in Washington, going to Green River Community College, and having a blast. I have found that I spend too much time doing... things of less than legal nature with a group of people that aren't good for me. I've always been interested in the 240sx "scene", for lack of a better term, and I decided to put my interests and money towards a car.
My current car was a gift from my parents (I apparently get a lot of gifts) and although it's ok (the car itself) , I finally got permission to have the car transfered to my name, as well as permission to sell it. woo. three guesses what car i'm looking @, the first two don't count. Anyway, I'm hoping to spend a lot of time learning here, so that i'm not pathetic when it comes to dealing with my own car.

Hey all! I'm Nick from Cali (Bay Area) and finally I had a good reason to register here... which is a '92 240SX Coupe, manual, in white, with almost 63k miles on her, which I bought last night. It's not in showroom condition, engine bay could use a clean up, and I'm not a mechanic but it drives pretty good and I'm loving it!

Hey, the names Adam and i'm currently stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky.... I own a 99 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero that i recently got imported from Japan.... I'm doing a light build on it to make it roughly 450hp to the wheels. Car only has 38,000km on it!! Anyone in the kentucky/tenessee area hit me up sometime for build or just cruisin around on the weekends no biggie to me any other questions just ask

well the name's forrest and im pretty new to the site and 240 world. i've always wanted a 240 and thanks to a recent hail storm that totaled my last car that was given to me by my rents when i was 17, i was able to pick my own car! woo. ive got a 91 hatch that i plan on boosting and what not but itll be awhile. its currently being taking apart for a new (to me) motor, tranny, clutch, water pump, thermostat, headers, and exhaust this weekend. ive already cleaned the hell out of it and put new brakes around and put in a new radiator. im really on here to learn because this will be my first motor build (ive slammed cars and lifted some too lol). any questions, just ask away!

well to save you a lil dough broski i would skip the whole headers deal if your going to boost the car... you'd need to buy a turbo manifold for it when you do get that far so the 400 or so bucks you spent just went to waste cuz you wont get that money back for it... but in all honesty it depends on what type of build your going to do. Are you gonna b an ebay buyer or are you going to do it right with brand names? whats ur goal out of this car? performance wise that is and just checkin in on this, where r u getting the motor and trans from? ie. someone local or getting from japan? hit me up and ill help you out as much as i can bro oh the names adam btw

recently i purchased a 1990 240sx coupe, it has coilovers, and they body work is done, but i want to start working on the engine. The only giant problem keeping me from working on it is my lack of knowledge and not having anyone to teach me. SO i was wondering if anyone could point in in the right direction as to how to start or where to start. websites, videos, anything really. i really just want a car that i can slide in, but being fast as well wouldn't hurt. she has a stock KA. PLEASE HELP! and i have no experience when it comes to forums either
