Thought this would be the appropriate place to ask this since you all live the low lifestyle lol. So does any one use these butterfly braces to protect rails?
or what do you have protecting the bottom? (skid plates etc..)

Lol, no, not everybody adds braces for the frame. Most people go through the cheapest way possible: coils/bags depending on the chassis + wheels. I know of some people that stilll haven't tucked their harnesses or relocated it. After that, it's about aero, dildo shift knobs, etc. And if they care about their alignment, they go with susp. arms. Never would they think about reinforcing the frame.

Skid plates have been written off as useless because 80% of drivers with low cars have their car so low making the skid plate useless.

I've never seen those for an S chassis but my girlfriend has some similar ones on her Miata. They do a great job, and serve as a jacking point if you drive it onto enough wood to get a jack under there.

^^I'd buy those if they were made for s chassis and less than 250, seems like that would be a doable price..

...maybe I would powdercoat them some random color

These were $150 shipped brand new for the Miata. I looked all over for some for an S13 but couldn't find anyone selling them.

Its a pretty simple design, if you dont care about the looks that much (dont care about the triangles), you could just get sheetmetal and make your own.

dropped on FK/koni coilovers. i have some wide 13's for this (13x8 offset -something) but 13's are just to small so looking for wider 14's now.
shitty 1.0 16v engine, but its sooooo cheap to run, perfect daily
