its not the physics but, what's new is the rendering engine, it should be more crisp life-like objects.
beside new cars and tracks, they made the menus much easier and faster to load. which I hated. |

Any word on tire and aero physics for GT6? Are they catching up or is it still kinda ignored for awesome graphics? I had fun in GT5 from launch until last month when I broke down and finally got Forza 4, now it just seems a little plain and the physics have always felt off.

Willow Springs looks amazing, and I see some new tracks peppered in there. Although I find it extremely weird they aren't putting this on PS4, should up and take my money PP.

Supposedly it is in the works but take that with a grain of salt. From the mouth of Yamauchi himself "I think a PlayStation 4 version will appear naturally, we won’t keep you waiting too long, but it won’t be too soon either.” The same was said about GT5 so it could be a great while.

Holy crap... Finally got the hang of tuning mid engined cars so I can battle the hordes of NSX/CSL/Lotus drivers. Built me a stock turbo MR2 that is just dominant. Raced it online and nothing under around the same pp could keep up with it. Made me wanna get one in real life. I love a good underdog.

I got some tips from a guy I raced online.
He taking a look at where your weight bias sat, first of all, then accordingly stiffening the rear spring rate at least .5 more than you do normally to offset the weight of the engine. Also do about -.5 degree of rear camber more than you normally do. I usually run 0 camber, so this just put me at -.5. Once I continued to refine these suggestions, I saw all the tail happy, snap-oversteer tendencies disappear, leaving only a turbocharged cornering monster. It might also be helpful to add that I usually run my compression rates around 8 and extension rates around 4 or 5 to keep from bouncing around and unsettling the rear end. For the stabilizer bars, I either run 4 all around or 3(f) & 5(r). For LSD, I run 40/40/20. My SW20 MR2's, MR-S, Opel Speedster Turbo and R390 GT1 Roadcar all responded really well to this approach. My Proto Spirro is very fast, but is still slightly tail happy & has snap-oversteer, but its drastically reduced. I find myself drawn to the turbo MR2 the most. Its broad powerband and torque make it out-accelerate NSX, FRS/BRZ and I even beat one STI off the line. |

Anybody pre-ordering GT6? both gamestop and amazon have their own bonuses. I'm going for the 15th anniversary edition.

I went with gamestop also. Although I did it at the actual store. I don't know if I would like the 1 million credits right off the bat. Makes the game easier than it already is lol. I like to build up cash and cars and choose upgrades wisely until I get to the buy everything because i'm to rich point. I usually do all the license first anyways.

I'm probably gonna do the 1m credit thing. but I'll treat the game as If i had minimal credit though. Just because I like to be a little real to the old, but at the same time I'd want to jump into online gaming.

Ill wait to see how much credit I get from my old game data before I opt for one of these packages. Even though I've maxed out my credits on GT5 several times over, that game has really taught me how to get alot of bang for my buck on tuning. I don't have to spend alot of money to make a car fast anymore.

GT Academy 2013 seems deeper of a game than 2012 was. Only had time to do a quick race with the Leaf on Autumn Ring Mini. I noticed body roll on the Leaf was much more pronounced and tire grip is more sensitive. Physics feel improved. Weight transfer has always been my thing about racing and it's more apparent here, at least with the Leaf it is, and I love that. Visuals don't look noticeably different, but it does run smoother. Menu UI is a lot quicker and simpler to navigate. Loading time for the race was roughly 5ish seconds, so that's improved, but then again it's a game on HDD, not disk.
So far so good.

Ah, with Dualshock3 so far, I'm at 2:24.591.
Tackling the GT-R races helped me learn the track better than those 4 pre-qualifying tests, if that helps anyone at all.

Well, it's official. December 6, 2013. Actually seems like a locked date also. This is probably going to push back my PS4 purchase. Although I'm curious about how Driveclub turns out, I don't want it screwing up my grasp of the physics engine in GT6.

![]() ![]() After finally attempting to do the gt5 editor im really having fun. i actually havent played this game for some time and when i found out about the editor i wanted to have some fun ! mainly i just used it to have some cars that usually arent available in wingless to convert them. ![]() Also did some other wingless conversions but havent taken photos. I've seen some people able to have a hoodless car and it actually show the engine bay and everything. i tried it on a couple cars and it would just be a void all the way through to the ground.

But I would definitiely be interested in some of these cosemetic only or mild swaps... Add me too: turbo_angoleiro (Actually, I think you're already on my friends list...) Here's a few I'd love to have in my garage: Premium S15 - Stanced & wingless Premium 1st Gen Miata - Stanced Standard SC300 - Stanced Standard IS200/300 - Stanced with Supra RZ swap Standard MR2 GTS - Stanced. Is the editor hard to use? |

Yes i know what you mean !!! i have a mazda FD with a 787B simply because i love the sound for the 787B over the sound of the rotory in the factory production rx7's The s13 has a 2jz swap in it. There are actually alot of GT5 editors but some of them ( from my personal experience ) did not work completely. For the most part if you have a flash drive you can edit a car. you have to get in the desired car you want to modify, the editor i use works best if you upgrade the transmission, tires to racing soft, and suspension to the highest mod and thats it. If you want no wing, go to the gt auto and apply the highest level aftermarket wing. Then youll go to save the game, exit, save the data onto your flash drive, plug it into your computer and depending on the gt5 editor you have you can upload the car into the program and edit as you please. then you just copy from the flash drive to the ps3 ( over writing the ps3's data ) and start the game and the mods should be applied when you enter the gt auto. Its sort of a long process just for one car. but its well worth it. If you wanna open a room ill show you some of the cars.

I just moved & don't have internet hooked up yet. I'll hit you up once I'm back online.
But I think I also will give the editor a try though. Maybe have a little more fun with this game before 6 drops in a few months... |

Yeah i literally havent played this game for months until i tried the editor and i love it now. just fun... Unfortunately the editor i use does not allow me to make the cars have better fitment. the one i use only allows hacking the downforce, suspension camber etc. but i cant find a way to widen the stance to fit the fender wells better. Also though there are many editors that people use. some people actually can put complete different chassis under the body of the desired car. so for instance there is someone ive seen put a full race car chassis on a basic camaro body. which changed the fitment. i personally didnt have the editor work the way i wanted so i downloaded another one. Here is the one i use, it doesnt have too many options but its simple and works. GT5 2.14 Engine swap - downforce hack - hp hack - remove spoiler and more! - YouTube

GT6 drops on 12/6 and I'm still regularly playing GT5! Here's the car list starting with the 124 new additions!
Gran Turismo 6 - List of featured cars Finally getting my Genesis coupe! But I wish it was the turbo version. And I wish some of those M3's would get dropped for a 335is and a Z4 35i sdrive. |

Pretty excited after following up on GTPlanet regularly. Things look vastly improved in terms of menu UI, physics, sound, tunability, etc.

most tragic thing happened to me. my PS3 died. I cant afford a new one or a PS4 right now.
![]() I went to several repair places and it's gonna cost me 100-150. gdi. And I have GT6 locked in and waiting. GDIGDIGDI. I am going to be incredibly sad if i miss GT6 launch because I have never missed a GT launch. |
