A universal EQ like his would hook up as follows: composite(RCA) cables out of the radio into the EQ... then composite cables out of the EQ to your amplifier(s).
High end EQ's that are meant to work with a specific brand of head unit or amplifier can have a proprietary cable that will only work with the specific brand. The advantage though is less noise because the cable could be "balanced" and the fact that you may only need to run one cable instead of multiple RCA cables. The high-end ARC Audio amps we use actually use a Cat5 cable from the balanced line driver in place of RCA cables. |

I had to cut out the buttons that were under the a/c vents. Really easy procedure, not much to cut out once you take out the buttons. But you do need to keep your hazard light switch plugged in or else your turn signals wont work. I just have it dangling behind the dash where I can get to it if I need it. Other than that you just wire it up along with the head units power and ground and you're pretty much set. It's a perfect fit because the area where the buttons were set is a half din opening which is perfect for equalizers like this Clarion.

Trace this odd circle on to the permanent panels and cut them to fit.

I'm having trouble picturing what a removable helmet surround is. Is it kind of like a ZEROS? but removable ears?
PS. Can someone tell me if a MAXIS II is basically a kevlar backed ZEROS? That's what my googling is telling me. If so, I need a black MAXIS II in my life. |

Maxis and Zeros are practically the same besides small differences in the back-support and leg bolster extension. |

this is my good friends supra, the seat pictured in my car is now his passenger.
he still runs the same driver seat pictured below. both have kevlar backs. but see those "ear" things here, they are detachable. soapgun has a scan of some jdm fc that is running the same seat.

Zieg II and Zeta II have these same differences Maxis and Zero-s have different ear shapes as well, but that is very minor
