Can a 265 tire fit under an s13 without fender mods? Racing rules (scca stx) dont allow me to change the body but im allowed up to a 265 on a 9 inch wide wheel. (Wheel diameter has no restrictions) my current thoughts are to run a 17x8+25 with 255/40r17 re71r. Anybody know if that would fit?

Ok guys let me try this again since I got no responses regarding my questions last time. Will include COMPLETE details for consideration on wheel size.
Im looking to upgrade the wheels on my '97 kouki. The car currently has 40mm D-max front fenders and 50mm Origin V.1 rear overfenders. I have kei-office type XR coilovers and all suspension arms are adjustable including lower control arms. I am running Z32 f/r brakes with e-brake. Car sits very low and don't want to raise it up much high then it is now. What Im looking into for is a wheel/tire combo that sits flush with the fenders but is NOT super stretched. I understand some stretch will be required to maintain the low height of the car. I also am completely against running spacers. What to run in the range of -3.5 degrees camber in the front and -1.5 degrees in the rear. Willing to adjust minimally from there but dont want a bunch of camber eating the tires since this will be predominantly a street car. What I am considering is an 18X10 +13 F and 18X11 +0 R with 255/35 F tire and 295/35 R tire. Tire sizes are not set in stone but I want to keep the width in that general area since I believe it will offer the stretch needed to fit but wont be super stretched. With these wheel and tire sizes and all details listed above taken into consideration, will I have issues with the wheels hitting the coilovers? I plan to tub the front fenders in the near future so tire rub shouldn't be an issue on the front. Do you guys think the rear will have substantial rub? I will be smoothing the inner lip of the overs as well as slightly bowing them if needed. Please any suggestions or pointers in the right direction would be MUCH appreciated. Thanx, Cameron |

Running 19x12 on my SC and looking for mild stretch for better fitment but also safe enough for decent speed sliding. It looks like the tire brands are slim picking in a 19 but these aren't going to be slid on very often. What tire size do you intelligent folks recommend? Probably going double stagger, too.

Car has been sitting since I've thrown on a set sqaure g8s 18x9.5 +12 and havent driven the car yet due to motor issues but noticed on that I rub so much. Nothing on the fender but basically the fender well/firewall area. Way in the back side of wheel well. Havent looked too much into it besides locking the steering and feeling it rub and seeing it when I set outside of the car. My uncle sells lazer alighment machines so I did one the one day to dial best I can to clear my front/rears with like roll/pull. Cam out perfect but my camber is maxed out at -2ish all around. My caster rods up front have been maxed out since I got the car. Theyre the normal bright yellow v1 isr arms.
What are my options besides getting a hammer and bashing it? Should I get new arms that can give more adjustability and is there something else im missing that can nudge the wheel slightly more forward besides caster? Toe is good and camber is about 2ish degrees. Will take pictures later but fitment is perfect up front and I'd hate to raise it. I can see by maybe going up two inches will clear it but will probably rub when turning full lock and going over a bump. I know loads of guys run more aggressive fronts and even similar specs and never herd much about rubbing on the body side? |

That would be the max wheel size I'd run on OEM body though. Ideally, I'd run 9.5" with around 10-15mm offset in the front and 10.5-11" and 12-18mm outback for a stock body S13. But that's just me.

I'd install everything then test fit the wheels and your desired tire size first before ordering spacers. 215 and 9" wide wheels should look and drive just fine. I run 225 on my 9.5" front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used to have 17x9 +25 with 215/45-17 in the front on my s13. It was damn close to the coilover, +35 will most likely need spacers. And I would recommend a 40 series tire over the 45, the 45's were too big for my liking. Good luck!
