Question for u s13 veterans. I've owned one in other states but not California. Is there anyway to legally boost? What is the best route for more power? I've owned a ka24de-t and it was pretty mean just ran into a lot of issues cuz it wasn't tuned right. Im trying to minimize that. I'm guessing the best way to increase power legally and pass bar and smog is to do a engine swap. Leaning towards the VQ35DE swap. maybe grab a S13 chassis for a few hundred dollars and swap it out...

Legally boost a S13? Forget about it. Legal power mods will have a CARB sticker that will keep you out of trouble with the cops and when it comes to smogging your car every other year

IOW there is no chance lmao... i'm thinking about just grabbing a shell and repainting it and throwing a VQ35 in it... might be better choice for budget build... i really like the S-Chassis and the 240sx...

OK so basically I want to start out by saying I'm looking for someone who has stolen 1200$ from me.
I've known this guy for 3-4 years. His Name is Alex Bruszt. We made a deal where I bought his KA24DE out of his 96 Zenki. He had plans to do a turboed motor swap so he offered to sell me the old motor.
Long story short, I paid him for the engine before we took it out of his car, just so he would have some money and I would have the guarantee that he wouldn't sell it to anyone else. 2 weeks after I paid him he started coming up with excuses on why we can't pull the motor yet and this and that. Come to find out he took my 1200$ and MOVED OUT OF TOWN. (Concord, CA).
He no longer answers any calls and has yet to return any text.

He drives a Champagne Gold colored Zenki. It's a 96 with 19 inch grey colored 5 spoked rims with a chrome lip. All stock other than the rims. He always has a pikachu and a squritel (pokemon) in his front window! He has the cloth interior from a 97 in it.

I have plans to sue him in small claims court but would rather mediate with him in person as he is obviously trying to avoid me.
Bay Area people... please keep an eye out.

first off i wanna say that your terrible at doing business and it's your own fault. when it comes to money why would you ever just fork it out front and not have anything of value. If it were me personally id find the guy and bust his knee caps in and call it a day he can keep the $1200. Have fun being a cripple and driving like a cripple. But hey thats just me. or find where he lives and get some hoodlum friends to shoot his house lmao j/k lol... i walked away from that life already haha... dont forget aim for the knee caps

Was any of the transaction in writing? Bill of sale? If not, you're kinda screwed. Hell, even with it, you might be.

If you do get his ass in court or settle, go for his car. If said car is won, part it out, sell all the bits, then send it to the scrap yard. And don't forget the pictures.

It was indeed a verbal contract. Although I do have all the records from our conversation over text messages. This was a FRIEND of mine, not just some random dude. Basically I just wanted to post on Zilvia for the slight chance someone knows his NEW location. As soon as I'm finished with the court papers I'll be serving him through the US postal service. The post office will forward the papers to his new location as well as notifying me of his new address. It's just a matter of time... I'd just like it expedited. I'm very aware I might never get paid back but everyone knows closed mouths don't get fed...
