It's a hit or miss with aftermarket projectors and even more of a hit or miss with aftermarket bulbs and ballasts. The mini h1s do perform better than some oem projectors and I've used them in retrofits but for the same price there are better alternatives IMO.

Would have been great to know that before. Getting my retrofit in the morning. Mini H1 projectors with three5 bulbs and ballast. How do you rate my set up?

They will be way better than your stock lights and you should be happy with them if you've never had a retrofit, but they aren't the best of the best is what I'm getting at. The minis are great for first time retrofitters because of their small size and how easy they are to mount; however.

dang silviaks2nr, wish i knew about the d2H style bulbs before i blew a few bucks on used d2s/r's. i will have to pick up a set of the d2h's when im ready to mess with my projector mods again. I did the tsx projectors into s13 pop ups and removed the deflector plate(i think that is what it is called), and the beam seems to not have a sharp cut off, also seems that the beam is not focused on the ground/in front of me. i was thinking of putting on the deflectors and hoping it will give me a more focused beam, e.i. more "down the road" beam. can you give me your thoughts. thanks

Those Kouki lights that silviaks2nr posted were made for me. Just want to say he is a great guy to deal with and you should have your lights done by him =).
As far as plastic covers go, imo they look cleaner and seem to hold up well. Here is a set on my zenki which are sale. http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/51119...r-corners.html |

Yes sir! I love how the came out. No robot looking headlights, come out looking more of OEM. And on the way home tonight I rolled with a R35, BMW and Lexus and was just ass good as the GTR, and I think we'll above the other two

After looking at before and after I'm not very happy. Any tips guys? Differen bulbs? Or do I need different projectors? I feel like it has the same output at stock. Just HIDs now instead and a nice cut off
Before no fogs After no fogs. And yes they are aligned differently as I never messed with the stocks and this is aligned with measurement from the center of the headlight and ect |

are the bulbs installed correctly? Sometimes they can not be seated completely in bulb holder causing weird output. Get an underexposed pic against a white wall about 15ft away and I can tell you.

yeah, if it's underexposed you can tell where the light is being distributed.

Is this good enough? I took some with the DLSR but I feel this one I took is darker which I think is underexposed? I did a quick google search cause I really don't know lol if not I can post the ones from the camera also.

It looks like the bulbs are probably seated okay but it's hard to tell since the photo is still pretty bright. You should definitely try to rotate the driver's side projector some- if looking at it from the front of the car it needs to go clockwise about 2 degrees. You could try "XB35" bulbs from TRS as they are supposed to be a lot brighter... If you do decide to switch projectors I recommend acura TL or rx350 oem bixenon as they both have great performance and since you have such huge headlights they should fit well.

I want as close as possible to that picture you posted a couple pages back. Thoes are modified RX right? What do I need to get out out like that? Cause I still use my three5 ballast? I read there is an adapter that you can use or something of that soure? I'm planning on doing whatever you suggest. I'm going to sell the minis and H1 lights. The e55 shroud would be too small huh?

Do you have a separate high beam? I can't really tell from the photos. Sign up on hidplanet and you might get some suggestions for other low beam projectors but modded rx is pretty much the best out there, it's basically the same as s2000. You can use your current ballasts/harness all you would need is AMP->D2s adapters and a pair of oem D2s bulbs. I have a bunch of the connectors if you need a pair.

i would deff need them but how much? i see they are $15 on TRS. Also am i going to see disadvanages using my Morimoto ballast?
Is this the kit you are suggesting? With philips bulbs right? Do i need clear lenses also? Man im so confused lol, there is so many Hi/Low kits on there but i notice this was the most expensive kit so wondering if it is it? Bi-xenon FX-R Stage III Kit - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc EDIT Then i also see these are the most expensive projectors. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=125 Really lost on what the best is and so on. The minis blow to be honest |

I got these awhile ago and haven't gotten around to installing them yet. they have a halo although its not hooked up in these photos. I'm going to split the wires on the front turn signals and run them to the halos.
http://r.ebay.com/ZFhNdN http://youtu.be/5RaigKzlgIE ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365520742.844265.jpg Close up pic of the projectors. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365520781.358565.jpg Comes with arms that are shortened to the right length. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365520822.258257.jpg Highbeams ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365520890.257441.jpg I would like to run the pbm hmic which would require relocating the motor for the flip ups and fabricating new arms like this. http://youtu.be/C6dgPk5m13A Also I'm a bit worried about debris breaking the lens. I've been told to make wire mesh and a couple of other weird ideas. The only thing I can think of is retrofitting some casing around the hid but I'm not sure that casing will withstand the heat and you don't want to have vents let moisture in. |

Those are worse than the pegasus lights and they look terrible too, sorry.

I think it'll be a world of difference once the halos are on but to each they're own. The main thing is I'll be able to see. There's overspray on the lights I have now from the previous owner.
