Hey if you are the owner mabey u can answer my question.. I purchased one of your cables
For my rb25 in my 240 and wired it into my ecu the way I was instructed to. However .. no matter what I do or how hard I try. Or what computer I am using , I cannot get the computer to recognize the interfacer. And yes I do have a computer capable of running a serial to usb adapter. Soooo. whats the problem? Why won't this work?

It's nice to see your still on here. I have read all the good and bad reviews for emance....And am still considering you for tuning. The fact your on the board and still helping people work through problems will most likely influence my decision alot.

with that many bad reviews i would never even consider getting a emance ecu. sure the guys nice, and is trying to help but with that much bad reviews, im sure theres something wrong. either you dont know what you are doing or is copying other ecu data and putting as your own. just my two cents though. you guys are better off with jwt or enthalpy. but of course i have a standalone thats the real way to go!

ouch sure not everyone is happy but I am positive everyone is not happy. most of the issues ive had happened in the PAST but I have tuned hundreds of cars and also offer dyno tunes down here in SD where you can see with your eyes the power your car puts down safely.

JWT takes over a month to get a tune from, I reflash an ecu in less than a hour.
Standalone costs hundreds more than what I offer for less than $200.

I have to say a big thanks to Emance for helping me with my ROM for my RB20. It was kicking my ass trying to get it work right with the 800cc injectors and Lightning Maf going blow through.

Hi Jason, my buddy just picked up a S13 hatch with an SR20 w/ T28, Z32 MAF, and 550's. It has an E-Mance tune, and it's running all crazy. With stock MAF and stock injectors it ran fine, but as soon as swapped for Z32/550's/Tune, it kinda ran shitty...Actually, today it just blew the #2 piston. Cylinders 1, 3, and 4 read at 150 PSI, while cylinder 2 reads 0 psi.

Obviously this isn't the rings because compression would go up if I poured oil in, and it's not. So I think it blew, or melted, or cracked or something.

Anyway, this isn't too big of a deal, we're building a new block for it with forged internals, and pretty much we're wondering if we send you the ECU back if you could revise it and make sure it's all 100% perfect. Will this cost any money? Or can you help?

hey man if it ran funny are you sure he installed the chips the correct way, had no engine light or had z32 maf hooked up correctly and maf wasnt damaged?

the basemap for the dw 550 tune i sell had been dyno tested and proven but if you drove your car with a engine light or installed reflash incorrectly or maf incorrectly it will run all shitty.. how much boost was ran? im really curious about this since i jut tuned a sr with dw 550/z32 this weekend with great results on same base map you ran and i have the dyno sheet to show it was great afrs.

Not sure about the engine light. The previous owners had the Z32 maf wired, and the orange wire was connected to ground. So is that correct?

We're building a new motor and just don't want to take any chances, you know? So if I pay for shipping can you just check it out and make sure?

just as we spoke about in PM i will take a look at the ecu, pull any stored codes if there are any, check to make sure tune was installed properly and what tune was on the ecu so we can take it from there..

Hey I Bought a consult cable from you on eBay a while back and I can't get it to work I bought several different Serial to USB adapters I checked power and ground for my consult cable in the 240 and I'm getting battery voltage and ground Also tried it with 3 different laptops no go Lmk what I can do to get it working please

Godspeed 18g on 91 octane
~14.5psi

Think you could rom tunefor that well? The only reason i ask is because i have never seen a rom tuned 18g KA24DE.

ok sounds fair..i have a 300z n/a that i want to turbo..wit the stock na motor
im plannin on running 7psi
everything is stock from the tt motor..
so i basically want ma n/a ecu tuned for
7psi.
stock turbos(t25)
stock intercooler and piping
stock maf
megan down and test pipes
everything from the tt model thrown on ma na motor..so can you give me a price on tuning it.. want it tuned for 93octane

I emailed you about the tracking number for console cable like 5 days ago...(I need to know so i can take off work to get it or ask someone to be at my house to get it)

emance = trash

When i decided to try emance i thought that Jason just had a bad rep because the 240sx community typically trash things that have a low price or are not from popular brand a.

Well they were right. The guy did make a slight effort to help the ecu didn't work but that's about it. I when i let him know that he didn't ship the console cable with the ecu... He said that he put a new one in the mail...(this was early March) It now april and no console cable. I thinking if the tune is off i could at least use the console cable to fix it...

So bottom line is went through a lot of trouble to put efr turbo on my SR and get quality supporting mods. I've trying to get support from this guy since January at this point I've given up.

I talked with the guys at Phase2motortrend and I got a power fc in the mail and datalogit.

Problem solve. I can't recommend this guy to anyone at this point. I never got real tech support nor did i get the cable i paid for....

I don't really want to get into it but I've been going through a lot of personal issues which has been degrading my service lately and for that I sincerely apologize to all my customers. I've been working 18 hours a day getting back orders out and upgrading to overnight shipping to try to redeem myself a bit.

Everyone goes through issues in life and I'm not using this as an excuse but konjiki7 you will get your consult cable overnighted to you today which the shipping costs more than you paid for the cable but like I said I am trying to redeem myself.

In a few weeks when all these issues are ironed out I should be back on schedule but I'm sorry I've let you guys down.. This is the same community which got me into the nissans and made me want to push the limits to see what kind of power i could make out of a stock flashed ecu and I think I did it with 720whp on a stock retuned ecu and I feel horrible.

as for my tunes they are still the same, dyno tested here in san diego and those are the base maps I tune from when I ship out a mail order ecu.. same map would come preloaded on your car if you were to come down here and dyno tune it and we'd fine tune it from there.

thought i'd write a little post on here but back to work i go and again sorry for letting you guys down but i assure you i wont sleep right until this is all settled.

Purchased a Emance data cable a year and some change ago, didn't work shipped it back to him and he said it should work. Got it back tried it on my 98 Nissan altima and it didn't work, months later had my mechanic try it on my 91 240sx with sr20det redtop swap and it would still not work. During this period I had purchased over 3 tunes from him. This first set I sold to my buddy who got it sent back to Emance for a t28 retune. The worked pretty decent for what it was. Got another ecu resent that to him traded him some guages a fuel rail and 60 bucks for a daughterboard wih a tune. Went through at least 3 tunes and none of them would idle right. Tried to work with the guy to get the issue resolved until he just quit on me. I still have the chips, and plan on pulling the tune to see how it looks. As of now this guy in my opinion CS is the worst. I had better success of contacting Enthalpy as well as Smelly240 who was able to get my car spot on. For basic t28 and t3/t4 tunes with common size injectors I think he does somewhat decent. However when it came to getting my car running right the guy just crapped on me. So much for getting A1 service.

Had a lot of issues in the past, especially with customers buying the cheapest and in most cases (crappiest) setups including funky injectors, maf combos. if you plan on your setup working good then i recommend emailing me first and see if your particular setup will work.. if it wont, i'll tell you straight up and recommend parts that will work.

you, sir iirc had a non standard setup which i had attempted to tune and then just lost contact with you.

if you have a setup close to one i have dyno tuned already then we shouldn't have any problems.. i have great tunes from 370cc/stock maf/t25 all the way up to 1200cc/72mm turbo/e85 just email or pm and i will see if your particular setup will work or recommend one that will.

Sent my ecu in about a month ago and still havent got it back. Suppposedly he's been busy with speedhunters....i really hope to get my tune sometime this year.

I actually got so tired of waiting that i had to get another tune just so i can drive my car..i needed the tune weeks ago because this is my DD.

So please try to get me my ecu jason...thanks.
