so flustered beyond belief i finally got that sr running. only to end up with heartache again. i went to new jersey to pick up a power steering bracket for the engine and ended up crushing the oil strainer again and losing oil pressure.

got to repair and drive it for a week before bringing it to englishtown for opening moves. got one lap in before i completely lost oil pressure again and spun a bearing.

it did a nice burnout tho

ive got frustrated to the point that i really dont care what happens to this car. i think its super ugly with rear overs and made my decision to cage the car and yolo hoonigan it.unmotivated to piece together another crappy sr, i did something stupid...

i went vvti 1j because it seems like the only idiot proof recipe for drifting at clubloose. i have probably the worst luck out of any human at this world and i just want to stay on the track by any means possible. seems like these vvti 1js come off the trailer, sit on the limiter all day, go back on the trailer and go home till the next event.

excuse the potato picture but its all i got for right now.

i feel like im at a state where i can keep updating this build thread till its ready for the part out by the end of the year. i will be updating all the headaches and nightmares ive dealt with for the past 3 weeks lol

engine, trans, interior, wheels and possibly suspension will be migrating to a different chassis when the time comes

How is the sr shitty when it's your fault it got fucked up? Just wondering. Smash the oil pickup on the 1j and see how long it lasts.

dont twist my words. never said the sr was shitty. i said i dont wanna piece together another crappy sr. aka put all my good stuff over, take my time, do things right and have some freak issue with someones long block and it break on me. i always take my time and do things rugt and get screwed somehow. i learned the hard way and learned that the s14 sr oil pickup is the slightest bit longer then an s13 one. i literally nicked the pan just enough that it squashed the strainer. i was under the assumption that maybe the pan was bent and took it off to inspect. by then it was already too late.

like i said at this point of being consistantly let down by some freak incident (2 motors prior the ecu chip board fell out hitting a hole and washed my rings out) i decided to try something different. once again, taking my time with this vvti 1j and never cheaping out and staying stock power will do fine until im ready to sell and buy a 180sx to restore with the proper engine (sr)

been noticing myself signing on here more then usual. had an issue with my photobucket for the longest time and suddenly it decided to work. i hate myself for not keeping up with this sometimes but with the growth of instagram over the years and other social media outlets its just way easier to upload things on there instead. alot has changed in the past 2 years. ahort and sweet i havent gone too over board with the car and the vvti 1j has skipped a beat since its been in. ive tried the whole vlog thing a couple of times and it just seems difficult to tackle so many projects with work and what not.

gonna try to give this a go again and update. theres 6 cars in frontstreet and we have a whole drift season ahead of us starting off with loxk xity drift on march 11th. hopefully that will be a base to work off of. heres a few pics
