It was written off, it had been crashed so badly that it could never be registered again.. How are you guys missing this point? It was going to get crushed otherwise, why does it matter that they did this?

Well I don't really care, but that specific picture you posted is when they built a car like that to see whether it would give them street cred, they didn't do it because they thought it was cool..

Pretty sure that whole thing was staged. You cant just fly into japan and buy a car, especially one thats still plated and dive off. You either need to have SOFA Status or be a Japanese citizen to buy a register a car. Plus that shit takes over a week to do all the paper work.

They already knew the owner of the shop. Of course this stuff is planned, but they're not at all trying making it look like it isn't. Imo you can't really hate on MCM itself, as it's one of the best free-to-watch car related shows out there. The only downside to it is that the general audience it attracts is fairly unintelligent, 90% of the comments make me cringe. But hey, we all know most people interested in cars are fucking retarded anyway.

Their only cool build was gramps. I consider that doing it right, performance over everything, stock sleeper look for maximum trollage. 11 second car, can't hate on that.

disclaimer: i actually do watch MCM sometimes and realize most of what they do is just fucking around, but $10k+ into a subaru to run low 12's is kind of lame
