You'll spool fine, if you want anti-lag it...

Yeah antilag should spool that 3071 just fine. I'm sure the haltech has provisions for it. A buddy of mine uses the haltech on his single turbo 350z for launch control, works great.
Here's my story... Made it out to the Street Life Tour today... action packed day of heads up drag racing and drifting all packed into one venue. 14k$ payout for drag, 6$k payout for the drifting. I was in a 13.0 bracket that paid $500... I advanced a few rounds pedaling through the gears just blipping the throttle to stay ahead of the cars next to me, first I ran a 13.08 vs a 13.21 next race, still pedaling ended up breaking out and did a 12.84 vs a 12.96. Disqualified. Earlier on in the day I ran a few back to back 12.6 at 109 so I knew it was faster than the previous setup, due to 2 more psi of boost and one hell of prepped track. I know the guys that put on the event pretty well and was able to setup a grudge match between myself and a friends Cam'd, I/H/E, 4:10 FD, 9 inched rear, LS1/T56 Trans Am. I knew it would be a close race, and it had cooled off a bit. 12.4 @ 110mph with a 1.68 60' I was pretty pumped. Keep in mind this is a Stock S14 KA24DE longblock with headstuds and a felpro head gasket, running a GTi-R T28 with just 12psi. The plan is to install my cams, and turn the boost up to 15+psi and try and get an 11 second pass on the Nissan T28. A couple pictures of recent work. Kept cracking the super old ebay manifold. Stepped it up a little baby notch and got the OBXR manifold and downpipe. Manifold is supposedly made of 321 Stainless which takes heat better than your typical 304. It clocked the turbo a bit different, not allowing me to use my old intake. So I took advantage of the opportunity and made a cold air intake. |

Here is my setup:
Ford 8.8, 4 link back half, QA1 coils, 31 spline axles with 5/8 studs, full cage with fuel cell. 325/50R15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets *WAS* powered by this making 600whp at 10PSI. N/A it ran 10.9, haven't ran it when it was boosted with the 70mm turbo. Dropped 2 cylinders and now I'm building a forged 6.1 370 with a GT4788. 20ish PSI it will make over 1,000whp and do 8's. |

Jholman I saw your race at streetlife. I don't understand the bracket rule at all. Why don't you be in the 10.0 bracket so you don't get DQ. I was doing the fun run on friday. Its cheap only $5.00. The best I can do at 10 psi is 12.96 at 100mph, 1.8 60 ft. On 2nd run I increase the pressure to 15psi but it blew my welded diff. I am lucky some guy brought spare diff that I was able to buy from him at the track. I am looking for stronger diff that is almost bolt on like q45 diff. However I don't know if any manufacturer make clutch lsd for q45 diff. I heard viscous lsd is not that reliable. Sometimes the lock sometimes it is not.

If you're looking to drag and are at that power level a S15 HLSD would work great. They do not wear out since they are gear driven. Honestly I think anything but a welded diff will hold up for you on that power level. I'd wait until I was making 500+hp before I thought about upgrading the diff in these cars. That may just be me though. |

Right now around 2,600. Alot of the sheet metal has been pulled and replaced with aluminum and the cage is chromoly. The rearend isn't as heavy as it looks. It will be heavier with the new turbo and 6.1 but well worth it considering it will be good to over 1,000whp |

On a side note, how do you like E85? I am VERY interested in running it. I know it has to be tuned 30% fatter so you lose a bit of MPH. Its also pretty scarce around here.. Do you have a 55g drum in your garage that you fill? |

I love e85. Been runnin it for 2 years on my daily Evo when I had it and now my SR. Yes it calls for more fuel but every set up is different. Tou run a lot more timing that's for sure peoples jass sould drop if they saw my ignition tables and helps spool the turbo as well. Motor runs a lot cooler it's say cheaper then race gas. Just need to ensure your fuel system is up to the task

Well 1200 on race mix. E85 I expect it to be cut short it demands alot more than pump gas. I may have to start running a laptop to reflash back and forth.. Stock pcm with Hptuners.

Ya but it's isn't bad once you have a idea what the tank last you a plan can be made. Before a closer pump came all g the nearest one was 25 miles each way. I would fill my tank and 3-4 jugs of 5gal. I would top off as needed but once I got down to my last 5gal jug I would plan to head to the gas station in the next day or 2. Worst come to worst u could alway revert to a back up map
